ION I was told license is 200k every year? The government should encourage citizens to own a gun. In a place like kenya, where police dont respond to emergency calls, every house should have a gun. That will make thieves think twice before ambushing a place

I know we already hold the title of the 'wild wild east' as our police are incapable or unwilling to solve any murders but imagine if guns become the new means of solving any dispute, from marriages to debts... BBI will solve it :)

I dont need a gun if i really want to eliminate someone. I can also use my kitchen knife. Every family has one. Why dont people solve their differences using a knife ?. The fear of guns is really irrational

https://nairobinews.nati...rs-manning-police-desk/
Quote:A Nairobi resident was left in shock over the weekend after he was robbed and dumped along Nairobi-Mombasa highway only to find his “attackers manning a police desk” as he went to report the incident.
Mr Kendi narrated how three men in a saloon car had seized him moments after he had withdrawn cash from a bank in Machakos town on Friday.
He said the three robbed him of Sh390,000 and dumped him in a bush in Konza.
When he went to report the incident at Machakos Police Station, he claims to have found two of his attackers manning the police desk.
The two allegedly refused to record his statement.
He returned to the police station on Saturday morning and found the third man he claimed was part of the gang that robbed him.
The policeman allegedly kept him waiting in the reports office for hours.
According to a police report, the frustrated man then went to Salama Police Station in Makueni County where he made the report.

I wonder what will happen, moreso in the absence of witnesses

Matiang'i to arm private guards Quote:Private security guards will be issued with guns by July, in a move aimed at tackling various forms of crimes.
Dr Matiang’i told managers of the firms the Government would issue gun licences to vetted companies that would in turn arm their personnel to offer security

Not a bad idea but given ours is a country of peculiar people, the merits and demerits need to be looked at with a microscope.

The guards have guns but the other thing is there are lots of patrols. You meet with a group of armed police on foot then a few metres away you see a police pickup full of another set of policemen. All in a small town! Little wonder that I felt secure there than here at home. Also, I noted their shops including those selling clothes and those dealing with money transfer are open even past 10pm!

I say - give everyone access to a gun after doing thorough checks e.t.c. All Mushrooms are edible! Some Mushroom are only edible ONCE!

Setting up aquaponics? I used to walk the outer streets of Kigali, at night.. Total dissertation, with hardly any signs of life, only to meet with these guys in full war (camouflage) combat gear complete with helmets. They'd be out of sight, and you'd only get to notice them if your line of sight chances upon them. Almost pee'd my pants a few times.
