But seriously, the book should be recalled and the curriculum elevator fired. We are very tolerant to incompetence and complacency.

We(Kenyans) are damned. Who will save Kenya?

Mbona mna lalamika? the chickens are coming home to roost! One cannot speak broken English outside the end up writing something proper or being able to detect mistakes. Most parents must have read this and said - looks OK... shida ni nini?

To be fair parents do not approve the books their children will use in school.

Look at No#10 Our ____________ have seven classes. From the choices if the answer is School, that mix-up of singular/plural in a sentence is an example of how we communicate.

Yet the answer can be a variety of the choices given!!!!

When KCPE started being marked out of 500, the top student had 482 marks. Ever since, the top score has been going down consistently , last year it was 434, why?

The exams are getting tougher? pupils are not as bright as before? i don't think so.

Adverse Effects of Free Primary School Education

It has come to the attention of KNEC and the govt as a whole, that the quality of primary school education has become pathetic, but the authorities will not let this situation be apparent to everyone.

so, they results are 'normalized', to conceal the apparent scenarios.

I did a quick check on some few private and public schools in my area and found out that, private schools are not getting as good results as they used to while public schools in the same area were 'catching up'...

Secondly, the new quota system is meant to patch up to huge gap that was expected with the introduction of FPE

Unfortunately, the opening sentence of this thread is not true!

The first KCPE [1985] was marked out of 700; not 500.
The subjects were later reduced to five [500] after several years

No 3 is also ambiguous - many Kenyans go to church when sick.

anyways, how much did coca cola pay for being advertised to primary school kids? and why would we want to 'glorify' the 'poison' known as coca cola to primary school kids?
