@Slammers..............Please refer to the discussion on Theo Walcott under the thread "ANOTHER TROPHYLESS SEASON NOW CONFIRMED"
From that thread you will realise that Fabio Capello is spot on.

I remembered something and it got me thinking.

No European team has ever won the world cup outside Europe.

Only Brazil has won the world Cup outside the Americas...Sweden '58 and Japan/Korea the other day.

Following this trend it follows that european teams are jinxed outside their continent thus they are ruled out of winning.

That leaves Brazil and the African teams as the most likely winners in these finals.

So an african team can really pull a major one. Here my money is with the hosts South Africa (a Brazilian will be winning).

Any outsider from African can only be the Samba boys. Keep an eye on them.
When I have money, I get rid of it quickly, lest it find a way into my heart.

As much as i would like African countries to go far,i don't think any African country will go past the quarter finals....it will be boring if Brazil win the world cup again though they might just win it as well...personally i will be supporting Netherlands and Spain.
