Hello Wazuerians?

A few weeks ago I disposed off my Mitsubishi Lancer with the aim of getting a new car. With a budget of 800k, i am lost for choice between these makes, ALLION, MARK II, PREMIO (latest Model) VISTA ARDEO and the CALDINA (new model). does any of you have experience with any of the mentioned cars? Kindly give me your views.. I need the car for normal errands here and there and maybe some hire business as time goes by. Anyone??

Vista was discontinued so you won't be seeing much of its parts coming around!
If u want something to hire out caldina wouldn't be the best the lights/bumpers are not that much available with our kind of driving.
So choose between Allion and Premio.
or Just go for the one that looks nicer cauz all are running more or less same engine if the above mentioned isn't necessary.

Thanks Jampiu for your insights...I ideally see no difference between the Allion and the Premio, the premio tho seems to be more common in the Kenyan market. do u kno of any distinguishing features especially regarding durability and maintenance costs?

Premio is common because of the success of its initial model. Although the new one can't compare.
Maintenance costs is more or less same cauz the regular maintenance items used are "same".
Durability i would go for premio allions are abit weak judgin from what i saw with the rear bumper which chomokaz very easily once hit.
My choice would be a premio
altho i prefer Subaru over toyota [Yea just preferenceLaughing out loudly ]

If resale is not your main concern go for the 2003 Mark 2 regalia...its simply a brilliant piece of machine...fuel consumption is around 10km/l for a 2000cc same as nissan sunny b15 auto!!!! Its way better than Allion or premio feels more like a lexus than regular toyota...sadly they are going out of production and spares will be an issue...kama ni for hire allion or premio is the way to go.
The utimate goal of investing is to buy low sell high;if we re-write this core equation in psychology terms it becomes buy fear sell greed.

@Mbalatya, the best car of the ones mentioned will depend on your taste. Save for purposes of car hire, for which the best model maybe Carina and Corolla (NZE). AS for Premio,Mark II and Allion they seem classy and cannot withstand the roughness of hire. Caldina is ideal for own use, excellent suspension, roomy interior and wonderful handling.

Thank you very much good people, While at it, I came across a very good looking and seemingly good Mitsubishi Airtrek, it cud be an older model of the outlander, a 2.0 engine fulltime 4wd and turbo charged. It looks awesome, my only reservations about it include doubts on the availability of its spares in Kenya, and little knowledge about its performance. Has anyone here been close to one? any comments about it?

I have also given up on the idea of car hire....its risks and costs often surpass its returns

Of the cars mentioned, I prefer Caldina. I have been with Allion and its too light and the rear bumper goes off even after a bicycle guys hits you. The new premio is just an allion. You will always want to compare it with the older version and you will just be disappointed. I disposed and got a caldina. Its a wonderful car, it picks very well, handling is excellent, excellent fuel consumption, spacious inside and more importantly coz its a hatchback!

However, you will need to drop your ambition of hire with a caldina. It is too executive for that job! For hire look for NZE and a white one for that matter.
