Now that Nairobi has been without water for sometime, are there wazuans still opposed to this project?

Yes there are....until baba tells them otherwise.

The project may not be needed regardless what Baba says. I understand that up to 40% of the water is lost along the pipeline. The problem can be solved by reducing the wastage.

Most of the so called illegal connections are done officially by the water people.

With all the expansion of Nairobi you say more water is not needed?

No I didn't .More water can be available by dealing with losses through seepage. It's cheaper and more efficient because resources are scarce.

No doubt but the current infrastructure was put in place in the 60s when the population was about 600K, today's population is about 4Million, can the same infrastructure sustain the city even without seepage?

Despite the heavy rains that have pounded the country for more than a month, the Ndakaini Dam, one of Nairobi’s main water supply towers, has no water.

Officials say the dam lacks a reservoir to harvest water and residents will have to put up with water rationing until next year

One would have expected the long rains to bring residents’ woes to an end but water levels at Ndakaini dam is just at 30 per cent

Indeed. A large body of water requires... another body of water? I am befuddled by this obfuscating vocabulary.
