Comparison of stocks in different industries helps no one Pesa ni pesa. I lost out on KenGen vs KK even though IMHO, KK remains a better bet BUT the South Africans came into KenGen in a big way. KK is now showing some mettle. And there's a dividend. And I expect Ohana is prepared to take KK's profits even higher [ceteris paribus]... Greedy when others are fearful. Buy some now for higher allocation of the Open Offer, averaging down has never been this easy! @Obiero you have balls of steel. Too heavy to carry onboard, that's why the plane keeps crashing. Here's my two cents via an exchange bar discussion this evening.. KES 21 = KES 5.25 pre restructuring.. Majority of KQ heavy trades took place during the 2012 rights issue @ KES 56 = KES 14 pre restructuring.. The Open Offer has been guaranteed in writing to exclude KQLC, KQ ESOP as well as KLM and at a price lower than that offered to the stated group of majority shareholders at consolidation.. Implying Open Offer pricing shall be below KES 8.52.. Meanwhile, no selling will occur by existing shareholders upon Open Offer circularization leading to a price spike HF 30,000 ABP 3.49; KQ 414,100 ABP 7.92; MTN 23,800 ABP 6.45

Followed by NSSF as the only other investors with over 5% shareholding at the firm. Note that also Kenya Re is a local institutional investor in KCB!! - Government of Kenya 17.5% - National Social Security Fund Kenya 6.05% - Norges Bank Investment Management 2.58% - Templeton Asset Management Ltd.
