It is now 4 pm. More than 48 hours since the General arrived.

It is time for Miguna to change tactics. If he fills out the forms there is no way the GOK can fail to allow him in and grant him his passport, not with all the publicity he currently enjoys.

If he insists on defiance the spotlight will move away and he will be resisting in obscurity. Miguna needs to remain in the spotlight for him to remain relevant. Seize the moment and fill out the GOK forms or allow the Canadians to give you another passport and enter as a tourist. Get out of the JKIA toilet, take a shower and live to fight another day.

Cliff Ombeta and John Khaminwa have other paying clients waiting and they cannot afford to spend more time on this pro bono case. Otiende Omollo and James Orengo both have full time jobs so they have a little more patience but they will also get tired. Miguna is not a pleasant person to deal with. This is not a problem when you have money to pay. People can entertain to be harassed when they are sure they are going to get paid. Lawyers are also people. We all know Matiang'i and Boinett will not go to court. The only thing that would put pressure on GOK would be a million people walking to JKIA. Only Raila can mobilize people to do such a thing. When Raila walks away from you, you are alone.

Meanwhile this miguna debacle has reset everything back to default, the wakora network, civil society,media,police,matiangi,kondele..its business as usual apart from odinga who has not visited kibera or mathare.Again it should be an eye opener to Uhuru kama migunas return was one of the conditions for the handshake then everything else in that deal is standing on quicksand.

Shortly before 10pm on Monday night, Raila left the city centre for JKIA, hoping to rescue Miguna from Immigration and the Police, who had refused to clear him to enter the country.

Raila’s ally Siaya Senator James Orengo, whom he had instructed to handle the matter, had reached the end. Airport authorities wanted Miguna to produce the passport he had travelled on from London, but Miguna wanted to be admitted using his Kenyan ID card instead.

On the way to the airport, Raila spoke to Miguna and asked him to cooperate with Immigration and present his Canadian passport. But Miguna declined and told Raila that he had given his Canadian passport to someone else who had left with it for fear of the government confiscating it.

Sources say Raila spoke to top government officials who promised that Miguna would be allowed to enter the country using the Canadian passport, but Miguna refused to present it.

Just saw his lawyer on TV claiming that a police woman pick-pocketed MM and stole his Canadian passport. Why are these people lying?

I remember a time on this very forum some young people saying how good it was for the police to shoot students.

A few weeks later, the first person to be shot was the one making the most noise on TV. Sad.

My frens with all your lawyerism, if the gov't is soooo right, why not take the criminal to court? Hubris..

Pray that it's not you next time begging that a court order is followed. Because it shall be. Ask the dead student.

Society allows them to, and that makes them think they can always get away with it.

For someone who's posts are all over the internet, that is a very brave comment.
