Maybe we are asking the wrong questions, because if we are asking whether CA had a decisive advantage over all the other techniques used, then we'd be racking our brains for nothing.
For one, if all techniques were for helping one candidate, then the candidate would choose their proportion and context of use.
The only time I suspect we can know the truth is if we knew for sure that a candidate was on the losing end, and he/she could win by getting a certain target block that were easy to sway for one reason or the other.
And that by the addition of CA tactics only, a portion of the target moved to the candidate.
It's obviously difficult for most of us to prove this to be the case for CA.
But, it is not improbable that such a case can happen in an election. And that CA can in fact help a candidate win an election - by strictly using targeted information on known profiles.
So a correct question is; Can CA profile tactics help a candidate win an election, other factors held constant?
