"During the year ended December, KenolKobil net profit stood at Sh2.4 billion after completing a one off cost of Sh1.3 billion shillings which ate into its earnings."

"KenolKobil group managing director David Ohana said with the debt now settled, the oil marketer is poised for further growth."

"“We expect no further provisions or expenses related to these matters,” Mr Ohana said."

“You guys are usually excited by the profit and loss but I am more excited about our balance sheet which has really gotten slim,” he stressed.

“We are also convinced, when you look at the environment, I think electioneering, and stuff like that, probably behind us now, so we are very positive about 2018,” Mr Mathenge said.

That segman payout if that is not theft then i don't know.

K-Card customers know the speed of those DTB machines and 'network issues' and registration 'haiendi through' manenos and 'charge ya machine is not working you have to come and swipe at the office, and on and on.

But to be complement, free wifi at the stations is a big plus

Lol. Yenyewe that app needs wifi. Most motorists would not take more than 7 minutes at any fuel station, unless its doubled up as an eatery which is common with Nandos/Pizza Inn at KK stations

After segman fiasco now Ohana.

https://www.businessdail...2046-935ipvz/index.html

"“The company granted the group managing director options for 88,000,000 units subdivided into four tranches of 16.8 million, 23.2 million, 24 million and another 24 million units,” KenolKobil said in the report. “The exercise dates for the tranches is January 1, 2020, January 1, 2021, January 1, 2022 and January 1, 2023 for the four tranches respectively. Each of the tranches has a 2-year exercise period.”

The options were granted on June 20, 2016 and are offered at a grant price of Sh10.3, which was the market price at the time. "

"Oil marketer KenolKobil paid its former chief executive, Jacob Segman, Sh707.1 million to settle a long-running dispute over his stock-based compensation, making it corporate Kenya’s largest single payout to an executive
The sum is nine times the Sh77.1 million the oil marketer had earlier provided for in its books for Mr Segman’s compensation, but which was not disclosed as such."

Hujuma kabisaa. This will end up diluting the shares of the existing shareholders. Is it even legal? He should buy the shares directly from the NSE.
