My dear friends, allow me to think aloud, about what Dr. Ndii appears to be saying...
He appears to be saying that we have hunger issues because farmers can't get a competitive price for their food crops and therefore all that needs to be done is a way to be found for increasing income to farmers.
A quick calculation would imply subsidies. Because, if farmers aren't getting a good price for food crops now, assuming they're operating in a free market, then it's only a government intervention that can do the trick.
Therefore, we are hungry because we have no farm subsidies.
If this is true, then I can guess why @hardwood is clapping.
And I can forgive Dr. Ndii.

All I am saying is... there is food somewhere - with a sticker price... at a micro level - if you have money to buy that food.. you will not be hungry. so 2 things can happen... people (at a micro level) can figure out how to 'get that money' or the sticker price can be lowered! Kenya is a country of subsistence farmers who are apparently running away from planting foods that feed the rest of the subsistence farmers for 'Tea' because they want more money. And this 'more' money they are getting is not allowing them to get the foods that they stopped growing. All Mushrooms are edible! Some Mushroom are only edible ONCE!

Ndii just wants attention. There are other means of declaring with finality what he wants without throwing tantrums on twitter; just change his name. Waititu Baba Yao, Mwangi wa Iria, Kimani Wamatangi all did it. He should just have officially changed his name to David Omondi. That would have been more effective than renouncing a non existent Kikuyu citizenship on twitter.
