Better still if you are patient and have the time you can buy the unripe ones keep them by yourself to allow them get ripe naturally in your watchful eyes.

One quick way to check if bananas have been ripened artificially is to check the middle part, If black all along, this indicates an unnatural ripening process. Also, naturally ripened bananas will have an even yellowing colour

This is not just Kenya problem , it exists in Ghana and also in my country Nigeria.

It is very common with banana and mango fruits.
