I don't know... If those women (with hired babies on their backs) who are always asking for "bus fare to kinoo" are regarded as conmen, then this woman is also a conman since she deceives the public to give her money.

I don't know... How does the above statement help us? I don't know... If you want to be helped, then how different are you, from the woman? 1. I'm a man 2. I'm not Asian. 3. I don't have a toyota passo If Obiero did it, Who Am I?

I think a con is a transaction that you make or accept to participate in believing that you will gain something out of it only to end up with a loss. If a person uses a trick to increase the odds of getting sympathy while begging, then that isn't a con. It is enhanced begging.

But we're always in a hurry, too much afraid of relating with others, that a trick has to be devised?

If Obiero did it, Who Am I?

By asking 'what if' I set myself on a path of investigation that probably leads to relating with the woman. Relating to is objectifying, relating with 'subjectifying'. How does one bridge these two inevitable states?

The lady is a con. con manˈkɒn man/ noun: conman a man or woman who cheats or tricks someone by gaining their trust and persuading them to believe something that is not true.

Masukuma nearly became a victim from his post #1. masukuma wrote:today while my wife and I were driving to our office in Karen from Karen view (Rongai), we got stopped by an old asian lady. Her car (A white Wish or Vitz - didn't get a good look from the front ) appeared to have stalled by the roadside on Karen Road. We reversed abit and she came out of her car and went to my passenger window where my wife was and told us that her vehicle had stalled coz she ran out of fuel and she needed 200bob. On hearing that my wife aggressively said WE DON'T HAVE MONEY! kinda making me wonder... ni nini na huyu mama?? The lady switched to me and pleaded for the 200 bob and I decided to follow my wife's cue and say... hatuna pesa. she left us and went back to her 'stalled' car. As I drove off my madam told me that she is a con. She fitted the description of a 'An Old Asian lady with a white 'stalled' vehicle in ubabini (Karen, Lavington e.t.c.) that has been discussed on some facebook groups inhabited by womenfolk. So... usipatikane!

For conning to work, the victim needs a promised reward. If you gave the lady money because you wanted to feel good of your giving and not necessarily to help, then you were conned but if you gave out money because you needed to help you were donating. If Obiero did it, Who Am I?
