You can never be revoked citizenship of where you were born. There can never be such law under any constitution. It is called citizen by right not given or chosen. Was he born in Canada? If he renounced his Kenyan citizenship when he swore allegiance to Canada, his goose is cooked. He would join the ranks of other illegal immigrants and is liable for deportation. after the 2010 constitution was promulgated there was and is now a provision for those who renounced their citizenship to get back their kenyan citizenship. so that should not be a problem. The question is, has Miguna*2 applied to get back the renounced citizenship? Am not a lawyer, but to the best of my knowledge, you dont need to apply for anything as long as you belong to one of the 42 tribes. That is a sure proof enough, you are kenyan. He can be charged for not having an ID but he cant be deported or even considered an alien.Once a kenyan, always a kenyan

Many of these people you see running around voted for Uhuru - they started looking around and seeing people saying RAO won and decided enyewe... maybe RAO won! Kwanza after the faulty judicial outcome... they discount themselves!! All Mushrooms are edible! Some Mushroom are only edible ONCE!

Jubilee is very gentle. Look at Miguna, he still has his cap, his glasses and his suit on. He has his hands in his pockets. In general he looks like he is being treated well. This is a picture of Miguna during his "Peeling back the mask" book tour. This is how he was treated by Raila supporters.

I am really amazed that a whole class of students would risk their lives by voluntarily staying put in a lecture hall waiting for the anti-riot police to step right inside and clobber them senseless.
I am also amazed that there were students in the halls of residences as the riots were going on.
Truely amazed!!!
It seems the rules have changed or the students have become more damn. Why? During our times before the riots started, most of the students used to pack their belongings just in case things turned really urgly. During the riots, there were two no go zones, the halls and the lecture theatres. CCU and the kitchens were kept at very close range.
When I looked at the real reason why these students were rioting, I found none. In my cousins case, they are 1st years who joined on sept 4th. Just about 3 weeks old in campus. Some do not even know the layout of the campus, all they know is the lecture room and hostel. These are students who just completed form 4 the other day and are eager to learn and are excited by their new course. So when the time table or professor says they should be in class, they go to class. They are naive, dont understant campus riots and some dont know who babu owino is. hardwood wrote:FRM2011 wrote:@alma you on 🔥 today.
Apart from freshers like @hardwood's cousin, the other group that was beaten thoroughly are jubilee supporters. They couldn't join the rioting group on mamlaka road so they stayed in campus.
Cops as usual went for the easy target.
Now the "interahamwe" sorry, "twihame" group on wazua have received their briefing to defend the police actions.
I always wonder whether any of you guys pause to listen to yourselves. This is why am saying that this matter must be probed. You do not leave pro-babu owino/pro nasa rioters in the streets (people who were in the streets to support babu calling ohuru mtoto wa mbwa) and then go for those (may be pro-ohuru ones) who decided not to join the babu riot and instead opted to go to class or hostel. hardwood wrote:So my cousin scores a "Matiangi A" (like I also did some yrs back) gets admitted to do architecture at UoN and then on 3rd week gets clobbered like a nonsense by gsu. (By the way there were only 141 "Matiangi As" in the whole of kenya last year's KCSE. This shows you my familys pedigree, but do I say). That said Matiangi must resign ASAP for subjecting Kenya's sharpest brains to such police brutality. All Mushrooms are edible! Some Mushroom are only edible ONCE!

There are times one imagines there is a smart political move being pulled by jubilee people. Then on close scrutiny you realize it's just the same mathogothanio that has seen a vibrant economy left by Kibaki brought to its knees.
The miguna debacle is classic example of wrestling with a pig. Typical karumaindo thinking.
Now miguna is almost assured to be the next governor of Nairobi.
And Jubilee has just scored an own goal. The judiciary has to prove its independent. The regime friendly magistrates like Cheruiyot will be under the spotlight.
For the young, there was justice tuiyott in Nakuru during Moi days. Kikuyus in Molo would be slaughtered and the following day every Kikuyu who had ever served in the forces would be arrested by the special branch. They all ended in Tuiyott's court and he ditched lengthy sentences on trumped up charges without blinking.

Yeah that Tuiyott fella. I hear he went to heaven with all his money in a gunia. Oh, how I miss Kibaki. Thieves are not good people. Tumeelewana?
