That means they are intending to do some borrowings to put up the plant.

Cheap beer coming to Nyanza, let the Luos drink and stop disturbing the rest of Kenya.

Laughing out loudly smile Applause d'oh! Sad Drool Liar Shame on you Pray

@chief vvs you are also tribal?? I hope not

Our tribe in wazua is one: investments.Thats the language we speak here daily.We dont want any other tribe here.

Exactly..

@Obiero at the end of the day you make more money than those shouting tribal words in wazua

@Ericsson it's simply shocking that some wazua elders would play the tribal card on Luos and by extension Kisumu a city of great vibrancy. It's OK though..

Nope. I just used every smiley offered from "yes, it was funny" to "no, you should not say that" including "Pinocchio, your nose will grow if you lie" ...

If I could invest in the Kisumu Plant [without the rest of EABL] at par then I would. It doesn't make sense to transport beer [quite a heavy commodity] to Western/Nyanza/(parts of) RV and Uganda from Nairobi. Then ship the bottles back!

1. The ones shouting "tribal" are the ones who are stupid for they do not understand the history of Kenya and the connected beer politics;

2. For instance during the colonial period Africans were prohibited from drinking bottled beer and drinking traditional beer without a licence from the provincial admin;

3. The fact that the people of western Kenya never got a brewery nearby even after independence is a great injustice, perhaps what Jaramogi was alluding to by "not yet Uhuru";

4. Now, the people of Western can finally reclaim their God given right to drink kong'o to their fill;

5. Meanwhile the peoples of Eastern Kenya have attained true beer democracy. They have EABL and Tabitha Karanja products to choose from;

6. Sadly, after losing ground in premium bottled beer market in Central Kenya to Tabitha Karanja, EABL has chosen to sell cheap keg to the peoples of western Kenya;

7. I verily pray for the peoples of western Kenya that they shall not take to drinking this cheap keg like fish, pun intended.
Life is short. Live passionately.

Clearly you have never been to Western Kenya.. The place where EABL is setting up the plant used to be a vibrant alcoholic beverages plant in the late 80s.. Right next to KICOMI
