In 1979, Moi announced he would take measures to redress the tribal inequality in the civil service. The Kikuyu were almost 50% in some govt offices. There was a massive demo in the streets of Nairobi with UoN students coming out in support of Moi. For doing the right thing.

.

Wasn't it unfair to have 1 tribe occupying 50% of civil service?

It was grossly unfair. Moi was just doing the right thing.
But a very powerful narrative in our home area is that we are hated because we are hard-working. That the others are lazy. It is the lie every kid is told. Even the wretched of the earth who live in slums still believe the lie. Not the truth, that we were not fair to others.

And so Moi became the bogeyman around which politics revolved for two decades. After Moi's exit, we got a new bogeyman. He has served our politicians well. But he is exiting the scene in 2022.

ah.. the fake Wiper Twitter Account?

It is very easy to think that wazua has become a propaganda army.

Guys, let the politicians play their games. Ask any business person about 2017 and I don't know of any who wants to repeat the foolishness in 2018.

Hii mambo ya raila and uhuru let's leave to those people and the people who get handouts from them. Otherwise, I doubt if the God's shall be so nice to us in 2018 if we go the same path of foolishness.

Where's that bitcoin thread. At least there I learn something. The green section has become matope to say the least. And I'm using kind words.

smile This word has a funny way of finding itself in the strangest of places. In all fairness though, just like start-ups are getting huge contributions in ICOs, moving forward it might be the way aspiring politicians choose to raise campaign funding. IEBC irregularities might be answered by a good (voter) blockchain, that marries all ministry personnel information.

Aii kweli. So now Wazua has become a place to repost things that are not verified from fake accounts?

Listen guys. We are going through a circus here. We just lost a whole 2017 because most of you could not get your noses off politicians asses. And you want to go there again? Lose another year. We have already lost this week.

On the issue of swearing in's that's an issue for the courts to decide.

On the issue of arresting someone for oath taking. Why not arrest the oath taker. What oath by the way?

On the issue of shutting down the media so that you can spread propaganda on K24. That's a low that even Moi did not take. Very foolish really because we now have the internet.

I honestly think that anyone who believes that it's ok for the media to be shut down is a lunatic. Boss, Uhuru now only has 4 years 6 months in his term. Shall we use KASS TV at that time?

Think dummies.

We should be brave enough to call this what it was:

This was the coronation of a Luo king/chief. After all, all who were administering were Luo elites.

BBI will solve it
