Sicily Kariuki will most likely deliver. Not because she is good but because Uhuru clarified that his main focus is NHIF. Will that translate to healthcare for all ? Time will tell.

She is capable-but I have doubts that she will succeed. First off, the president will need to give up his neoliberal goals of privatizing health. She will need to keep NHIF money from the hot hands of private hospitals who charge 360/= for elastoplast, and manage the fund so enough money is available to rebuild our crumbling health care system…tall tall order.

Either way, it’s good to see that clown Maillu gone..

Can someone explain what happens to the 1/3 gender rule ? The cabinet falls short.

I understand there was a court ruling to that effect but the judge refused to disband the cabinet in public interest.

If we could leave politics aside, can Kiunjuri deliver on food security ? Arguably the most important of the big four agenda. Highly doubt but he will make a lot of chums there.

Aden Mohamed on manufacturing ? He has been talking about leather for 4 years with nothing to show.

James Macharia. The 38B health equipment leasing deal was screaming tenderpreneurship. Now with the 500,000 houses, dude is going to be a multibillionaire. But we know he won't deliver even 10% of those houses and they will not be affordable.

Transactional and transformational are the two modes of leadership that tend to be compared the most. James MacGregor Burns distinguished between transactional leaders and transformational by explaining that: transactional leaders are leaders who exchange tangible rewards for the work and loyalty of followers. Transformational leaders are leaders who engage with followers, focus on higher order intrinsic needs, and raise consciousness about the significance of specific outcomes and new ways in which those outcomes might be achieved. Transactional leaders tend to be more passive as transformational leaders demonstrate active behaviors that include providing a sense of mission.

You can see Uhuruto fall in the Transactional leadership style so please don't expect anything much. Kibera slum upgrading, NYS, coffee sector, leather city, Konza city, cashlite for matatus, CCTV cameras, laptop project like all other GoK projects poorly conceived, tender-driven with little impact. Reminds you of that Moi era govt project to make Kenya a newly industrialized country by the year 2020. We are 2 years away with nothing to show for it. GoK is just a bunch of dreamers. Jipange

Mailu left with a handsome retirement package paid for by BAT. He shouldn't be complaining.

Coming to think of it, what became of NYS that there was so much noise about around 2015/2016 ama they ate all the money?

Budget allocation had moved from 3B to 15B and 25B in three consecutive years. Then it was moved to Sicily's ministry. Nowadays devolution hakuna pesa. No single parastatal. Even NGO board was moved.

Be kind. Omtata will be at the high court by Monday. We really hope Uhuru succeeds in at least one of the 4 pillars.

Somebody told me if the 500,000 houses were to be realized, the impact on the entire supply chain would be unimaginable.

All those TATA tippers would be overwhelmed with work transporting ballast and sand. There definitely would be a cement shortage. Steel manufacturers would equally be overwhelmed.

I am NASA but I am praying for Uhuru to succeed on at least one of these pillars. There is money to be made.
