WSR may have started to fry himself with his own oil (kujikaanga na mafuta yake) when he effectively allowed Keter and Silas Tiren to be kicked out of chairmanship of parliamentary committees. I am waiting to see the debates during confirmation. Gideon only needs to wait in the sidelines like a nice guy while Ruto deals with rebellion from within his own party. He still has the Moi name, he has money and has no scandals that are known. In any government there will always be a mini reshuffle and realignment after about 2 years so do not completely count him out.

I think the biggest winner here is Eugene Wamalwa. Devolution is a really powerful ministry. This guy will end up in State House one day. It might be 2022, 2027 or 2032 but he is on the right trajectory.

Can someone explain what happens to the 1/3 gender rule ? The cabinet falls short.
I understand there was a court ruling to that effect but the judge refused to disband the cabinet in public interest.
If we could leave politics aside, can Kiunjuri deliver on food security ? Arguably the most important of the big four agenda. Highly doubt but he will make a lot of chums there.
Aden Mohamed on manufacturing ? He has been talking about leather for 4 years with nothing to show.
James Macharia.The 38B health equipment leasing deal was screaming tenderpreneurship. Now with the 500,000 houses, dude is going to be a multibillionaire. But we know he won't deliver even 10% of those houses and they will not be affordable.
Sicily Kariuki will most likely deliver. Not because she is good but because Uhuru clarified that his main focus is NHIF. Will that translate to healthcare for all ? Time will tell.
