First, religion needs to be abolished completely and people taught to use logic instead of depending on a non existent old man in the sky.

Most people will disagree with my incendiary opinions but the few people who are honest with themselves will embrace my sentiments.

We now have high school kids taking religious wars to school, next they will be bombing shit up again and killings dozens of innocent people in the process at this rate, how unfortunate that we defend something as detrimental as religion.

This is incident seem to have been caused by indiscipline case and not religious...

So do not quickly run to your usual preaching: banning religion!

@alphadoti, I agree with you 100%. This is about indiscipline and nothing about religion.

On the alleged discrimination, I think it's hot air. The two examples are very weak. First, you cannot demand classes end early to attend prayers. The school rules take over religious considerations.

On the guards manning the mosque, would that amount to diacrimation really.

@ham, I saw someone in twitter saying just like you. That any idiot who thinks it's worth fighting over religion ought to die. The world would be better off. I know these are kids but still.....

Update on Jamhuri High School fracas today:

A prefect found one Mohamed being disorderly in a DH queue and ordered him to go back. The guy slapped the prefect. matter was reported to deputy principal who brushed off the complain. the prefect organised a group of three boys who beat Mohamed up in the evening. an assault case was reported at Pangani police station and a P3 form issued. Mohamed wasn't satisfied and organised his own gang for revenge while the prefect had his own. the two gangs plus other supporters turned the school into a battlefield using crude weapons. 7 students sustained injuries and a bloody knife recovered.

So Mohammed introduced a religious angle into this otherwise petty student dining hall matter? Why should 35 students suffer just because one Muslim student refused to follow the queue?

I still insist the administration should deal with indiscipline firmly... They should not let lack of discipline to result into religious brawl!

It was a student called Muhammed and his Muslim friends fighting a Christian prefect and his Christian friends. How is that not a religious fight?

Sometimes it's good to just call a spade a spade. The facts won't change however much you wish to distort the narrative. Instead of trying to deny the root cause, maybe it's better to admit the truth and try to find solutions from there. The fight was between Muslim kids and christian kids, how can we prevent this from happening again? That is what we need to be asking ourselves, not trying to look for fake excuses like indiscipline and sijui poor school administration. Let's learn to accept the truth as it is, that is the only way we can find solutions to our problems. Problem with Kenyans and most Africans is that they don't like hearing the truth.

In my opinion, ASUMPTIONS need to be abolished, and facts established before going all holier than thou. Who says the prefect was Christian? Or the friends for that matter?

Second, let us learn to look into a mirror. A case of a pot calling two kettles black! So in your opinion, religious folk are idiots who fight each other? What about the idiot fighting them? Three people in a ring with each thinking their sh*t smells the sweetest.

Each and every one of us has the fundamental right to believe (or not). Your right to believe in nothing, should not infringe on my right to believe. If you think of me as an idiot, that my belief propagates hate, take a look in a mirror and see how your lack thereof, has you throwing hateful and disrespectful words, like somebody ordained you wise

Well, your bible also calls us atheists fools for not believing in your god but you don't see us getting our kickers in bunches about it, do you? It's because we don't care.

It's two way traffic, you guys secretly think of us as fools and we think of you as idiots. Only difference is that I call religious people idiots aloud because I usually have no chills and I don't know how to mince my words very well but I can also assure you the percentage of people here who hate me and think of me as a fool is probably close to triple digits. Something in the neighborhood of 99%. They just can't say it out loud because they are religious pussies. Lol.

A religion that inculcates victim mentality syndrome...., causes every one else problems!
Just as absolute power corrupts leaders, so does absolute fanaticism blind the people from logic

@hamburglar:

You are an atheist but as long as you are 'nywele ngumu' you are a christian on the outside. Same fate that falls on 'christians' in Mandera or westgate will fall you on you.

@Jamuu, it's the Christians and Muslims.

@Wazua, it's the atheists and the theists.

So what exactly are 'people' fighting about? It surely must go further than religion. What is it?

If you look at it carefully you discover the worst of disasters. The matter is about holiness, and many here will thrust it into religion. Of course they are connected in that religion is after holiness, but holiness is another thing altogether.

Even atheists want it.

And people want it so bad. And reality keeps pressing back. Gnawing and tearing. Till we all become savage fighters. Vampires.

But no one really wins. It's blindness spreading across populations. A virus quickly compromising our genes.

It was a brat who impulsively broke a rule in the dining hall.

It was a prefect undertaking his duties as a prefect in insisting that the brat follow the rules.

It is the brat impulsively fighting authority by slapping the prefect in protest at being made to follow the rules.

It is the prefect undertaking his duties by reporting the insubordination to a higher authority, the Deputy Principal.

Up until that point, things were proceeding as things should in such a circumstance.

The brat was not breaking the Dining rules as a Muslim and neither was the prefect performing his duties as a Christian.

Its that simple.

The rest is merely politics.

@aeM, notice that the first politicians were priests.

Politics will always put a claim to holiness.

Notice your explanation. It is political. It is a justification of power, action, being.

These are the politics of Cain and his descendants.

The nonsense I warn you about is selling of s*x toys and quickies during keshas. These are things you were peddling around here in Wazua. It is nonsense from a so-called pastor! It is fornication...

Remember Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them... And said unto them, "It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves."
