Let mairobians suffer for choosing to elect some barely literate prison-break jail bird. For those who do not know your govana is still wanted at shimo la tewa prison to complete his jail term for petty theft. And now you have put him in charge of nairobi's billions. You put a certified fisi to watch over the sheep. Yaani nairobi, a city with the highest concentration of brains, from professors, PhDs, lawyers, engineers etc couldnt find someone better? We've been there my friend. We tried a former CEO and educated doctor and he ended up being just another low life thug who left the city on its knees.

I guess what Nairobians are trying is some reverse psychology. Laughing out loudly

Mombasa County governor Hassan Joho has appointed his own brother as the head of county inspectorate, which deals with the enforcement of county by-laws.

Mohammed Amir who is the elder brother of governor Joho takes over from Nahid Musa who is retiring.

Governor Joho has been variously accused of practising cronyism and nepotism in the county after having nominated even his own house maid as an MCA in Mombasa County assembly.

Apart from nominating his close relatives for key positions in Mombasa, Governor Joho is also known to be fronting a leading drug peddler and smuggler of stolen cars as his successor in 2022.

Kharub Ibrahim has already started distributing his campaign materials and branding almost every billboard in Mombasa with his image.

Italian billionaire Flavio Briatore will sell his luxurious properties in Malindi if the "dirty, smelly" town does not improve.

Briatore, who owns Billionaire and Lion in the Sun resorts, warned on Wednesday that he will not invest until changes are made.

He noted investors are frustrated by poor roads and the stink due to uncollected garbage.

The businessman said these have affected operations, as most clients complain, yet authorities are not doing anything to make the Coastal area clean and more attractive to tourists.

"The town is very dirty and smelly and its roads have many potholes. Why isn't the county doing anything to attract tourists to the resort town which is a major tourist destination?"

"Investors do not go to dirty towns," he said, adding visitors "get fed up after five minutes because of this".

Briatore said it is Governor Amason Kingi’s responsibility to fix the town.

To any Makueni resident it should matter.

How useful will it be to them if they know who the owners are? The question should be whether the average dairy or mango farmer is better off now as compared to a few months ago.

Ukambani governors are really at it. Well done Mutua, Ngilu and Kivutha. Other governors should emulate you

They have been a very innovative community for centuries, they have also come to appreciate problems of hardship better, believe it or not devolution is what will really aid and finally eliminate COMPLETELY poverty in Ukambani within a very short time, people should be left more to their own devices than yelling at garment for goodies.

Me thinketh Ukambani has always been held back by kenya. Kambas are genuine and hard-working, and if ukambani was a republic by itself, it would be ahead of all of us. They may have a harsh climate but no tribe in kenya can claim to be ahead of them when it comes to producing academics, lawyers, engineers etc.Their perseverence is admirable
