Dancing 'Talkin' in my sleep at night
Makin' myself crazy
(Out of my mind, out of my mind)
Wrote it down and read it out
Hopin' it would save me
(Too many times, too many times)

I've got new rules, I count 'em
I've got new rules, I count 'em
I've gotta tell them to myself..Dancing

As Wazuans (and Kenyans at large) attempt wrapping their minds around Uchumi recovery, Nakumatt financial debacle, South Africans have their own retailer Steinhoff to understand the voodoo accounting that recently surfaced...

Steinhoff shares sink as lenders withdraw support...

It took 5 decades to build Steinhoff - but cratered in two days...

Why South Africa's Steinhoff could be the next Enron...

A New York-based private equity fund’s bid for a Sh3.5 billion stake in Uchumi Supermarkets has collapsed, putting an Asian investor in pole position to buy into the struggling retail chain.

This means they will miss the opportunity of a life time to bridge the gap left by nakumatt, another negotiation will take time, this unfortunate

Carrefour to open 5th Outlet in Kenya at Sarit Center Mall.
Uchumi being kicked out???

"In December, we had a chat with the Franck Moreau, country manager for Majid Al Futtaim Hypermarkets Ltd- Carrefour Stores. He said that since entering the local market, they haven’t broken even but the business was doing extremely well compared to other markets where they operate. He further noted that their local expansion plans is financed through a mixture of debt from a multinational lender with local operations, support from the mother company and a bit of cash from the local operations."

The so called restocking is a farce. I was there today and i can tell you that it's 20% restocked but 80% of the stock is mineral water and juices.

Did you have to visit the store to know that it's a gimmick.. Learn to listen to the people who's pulse is on the trigger. Kipngetich exits and immediately thereafter GoK announces release of funds for restocking.. Kenyans ain't dumb

I had to visit because I have nothing useful to do with my time.

Tomorrow I be visiting KQ to confirm that engineers are on strike.
