1. There is no mystery IMHO. The Egyptians and Mesopotamians were the most advanced civilisations of their time and they invented hydraulic levers and pulleys.
2. Egyptian civilisation cannot be said to be "ancient" in terms of backwards. It was a dominant civilisation spanning several dynasties, dominating the middle east and the nubian regions for thousands of years. It's a historical fact that some of the dynasties were black, some semite, some greek and some mixed. The bottomline is that Egypt is was an African civilisation just as Nubia, Kush, Mali and others.
3. In addition to tools and buildings the egyptian civilisation gave the world religion, navigation, and writing.
4. The current controversy on the ability of "ancient" Egyptians is a result of colonialism and scramble for Africa in the 19th Century. A deliberate push to dehumanize Africans and justify colonisation. Note that they started by saying ancient Egyptians were Caucasian. When that theory was proved wrong, they said that pyramids were build by an alien ("white") race.
5. The thing is that modern western driven civilisation borrowed heavily from Africa, the Middle East and China but Africa's contributions are greatly downplayed.

As to how those guys were able to decipher how the solar system operates, the dimensions of the earth, the accurate true north and all those design details, I dont think its doable without the help of complex computers and serious studies. Civilizations might have been there, but I doubt if they could pull off such massive stunts....

So who do think built the pyramids?

i think they did....

They did! One could try to check into the story of aliens providing the expertise of course!

it's really sad- modern man cannot figure out how ancient man did something and they default to saying... it cannot have been man. people feel uncomfortable confessing WE REALLY DON'T KNOW HOW THEY PULLED THIS OFF. instead default to... it must be a product of 'creatures' we don't know exist in the first place.

Actually there's evidence of some alien help Also look up Teotihuacán pyramids

No surprise tho, even the periodic table wad written with Alien help

Oh please... what evidence?

Quote:
Those aliens, abundant in their knowledge and drowning in technology, came along and using their compasses, they landed on earth and found the actual magnetic north and south poles. Then they built the pyramids

So an alien species comes to earth navigating through the expanses of space and cares about magnetic poles? These things change... we don't even use them in newer technology to determine direction!

How about the temples of Lalibela in Ethiopia?

Quote:
According to legends, an angel came and asked Lalibela to build the churches. Men and angels worked together to construct them, the men working through the day and the angels working through the night. The churches were hewn out of solid rock from top to bottom, excavated externally and internally, and carved in different styles.

Legends claim the churches were built in 24 years, however, archaeologists consider this impossible. Even today, accomplishing this work using carbon steel tipped chisels & diamond blades would be remarkable. There are also many other peculiarities about its construction, such as the fact that the massive amount of stone and earth that would have had to be removed from around the churches and from their hollowed out interiors, was nowhere to be found.

When I consider the principles of knowledge, for example in medicine, used by ancient Egyptians and compare and contrast with contemporary principles, then the contemporary principles pale before the former.

Now, without saying too much and losing anyone, the tree of life is a core principle of the ancients, and on this tree of life, those who ascend in it meet the Neteru.

These Neteru would translate easily to aliens. Or the extra-terrestrial.

High up the tree there are forms of knowledge not accessible to those who've not partaken or climbed up the tree. That's why we are puzzled with the pyramids and ancient temples.

they just threw human suffering and despair at them and got them built!! it's amazing what you can pull off by not giving a s*it about people. just capture a bunch of people who don't look like you and use them. they can die in their hundreds per day but there is more where they came from. The maya and aztec did it... everyone who has ever done anything great has done that...

anyone who has seen them with their bare eyes can testify that they are really quite something!!

Actually a study has been made and they found out that the pyramids were built by free men.
I am actually facsinated about pyramids, their origins and purpose. But one thing to note is that we are actually closer to the birth of Jesus than to the building of the pyramids, and that itself is really interesting!
