Which is the best bus to take to Mombasa? In terms of safety and comfort? Cost? SGR is fully booked. Lord, thank you!

That train is not yet full. if you call them, they will say that its full. However,if you go to that ticket office , tickets will magically appear.

Go to the stations and buy the earliest train available plan your journey around the tickets availability, currently buses are a pain, due to demand they are overbooking, late boarding the jam into, out of mombasa is painful and sometimes starts at mariakani, past mariakani you shall experience dust and rough 'korogation'as the road is under construction, you could drive and make stops in the parks, make the drive part of the holiday, camp at tsavo for only 70bob per head, then pass through Samburu to shimba hills camp there for only 150pp,then drive to Diani, fresh AF. At the moment do not try jambo or KQ it's messy, 540 and the rest are okay. If you have to take a bus take modern, coast bus, mash or horizon To Each His Own

Corruption is thriving with the SGR. The personnel there tell you it's fully booked and direct you to the broker cartels who sell you tickets at double the price. No one can explain how the train is booked every day to the 1st of January 2018. BBI will solve it :)

I used to do this when I used to drive years ago. It's such a fun trip....and not stressful at all. Business opportunities are like buses, there's always another one coming

Otherwise, if you have to drive back in the treacherous stretch, it's hectic. "Things that matter most must never be at the mercy of things that matter least." Goethe
