Nothing on the political front will happen. Stop counting days. They will quote some respect for the constitution, rule of law blah blah blah...

Unfortunately, some people might loose their lives and livelihoods in the stupid Maji Maji rebellion reenactment. Let's hope there will be no such losses and work to avoid them if we can.

So Baba is the new Kinjikitile Ngawale. Quite a number of similaries in their modus operandi, and hopefully, Baba will not meet the fate of his predecessor, Bwana Ngawle

Kinjikitile was born in what is now Tanzania (then German East Africa, later Tanganyika). In 1904, the then relatively unknown Kinjikitile disappeared from his home in Ngarambe, Matumbi. He returned after a few days and said that he had been possessed by a spirit medium called Hongo, believed to take the form of a snake. Kinjikitile claimed to have communicated with the deity Bokera through the spirit Hongo. He encouraged his followers to overlook tribal differences and unite against the Germans. He told his followers that their ancestors had commanded him to lead a rebellion against the German colonial empire. This helped start the Maji Maji Rebellion. Kinjikitile gave his people holy water ("maji") to protect them from German bullets. After a group of Matumbi attacked the home of a local official in July, 1905, Kinjikitile was arrested by German troops.

He was hanged on August 4, 1905 for treason. His brother continued in Kinjikitile's work and the rebellion continued until 1907, with over 100,000 killed.[6] Present-day Tanzanians consider the failed rebellion to have been the first stirring of nationalism, and Kinjikitile "Bokero" Ngwale a proto-national hero.

There are similarities in the mode of operation but Baba does not have a justifiable cause (save for an unconstitutional power grab) unlike Kinjikitile. The constitution Baba is disrespecting is his baby but since it has deviated from his power grab plans, it needs to be dispensed with (in his myopic view).

Raila has formulated an organisation called the peoples assembly..... association. That is the entity he is seeking to be sworn into office as its president - presumably in accordance with its Memorandum & Articles of association.

Last week Uhuru was sworn in to a very different office - that of The President of the Republic of Kenya.

You guys should let Raila be sworn in to the office of President of this Peoples Assemblies of God thing.

Baba is exposing himself too much...

Quote:
"We thought we had friends but we were wrong and now we know they are enemies. Up to today, no single ambassador has condemned the killing of people by police," he said.
"The western countries should, therefore, keep off the affairs of the country as Kenyan problems will only be solved by Kenyans themselves."

He spoke at the City Mortuary in the capital Nairobi when he met and condoled with families that lost their loved ones during the post-poll chaos

What sympathy did Raila expect when he insists on foolishly creating a crisis to attract the international community. This is infantile

Majority of the victims were from Siaya, Mr Odinga’s home county, and Kisumu County— a bedrock of his support.

It seems most of the victims had been imported for the chaos. So sad to loose someone in such circumstances.

Indeed, we have come full circle!

Raila now admonishing Western Powers for alleged interfence in Kenya's internal affairs!

In the abstract one would be forgiven for attributing those sentiments to a Jubilee Cabinet Secretary - say Amina Mohammed!

Raila tell off US

Quote:
National Super Alliance (Nasa) leader Raila Odinga has told off western countries that are against his swearing-in as the the ‘people’s president’.
"The western countries should, therefore, keep off the affairs of the country as Kenyan problems will only be solved by Kenyans themselves."

Didn't baba just return from US the other day to meet with Congress and Senate? Or he just meet brokers in those offices?

Under what government expenditure vote shall the public assembly participants remunerations be charged or debited?
