Kajiado assembly to stop land-transactions

Looks like the ban affects agricultural land. If the plots were on the non-agricultural areas, then i doubt the ban applies.

The former governor too had banned sub-division but the sale and sub-division continued as he was overruled by Lands Ministry.

This would be another irrelevant ban.


The county govt intends to use the development approvals as a leverage. If they block any development approval on agricultural land, then there will be tears.

Not so irrelevant, the National Land Commission supports the ban. Why would one subdivide agricultural land to an 1/8?
