I got the following email from EACDirectory a few days ago.

We would like to inform you that the registry has decided to Auction 1212 (One thousand two hundred and twelve) domains.

The auction runs till Friday, 22nd December, 2017 at 07:59 AM.

So I checked out the list, and saw quite a few domains that someone might like:

ACCOUNTANT.KE
FINANCE.KE
FORWARDERS.KE
ENGINEERING.KE
etc.

With high-value domains like these, one doesn't have to work as hard on SEO.

And no, I'm not shilling for them. I'm just a customer of theirs who's very satisfied with their service.

I long stopped buying 'hot' domains after the 'internet set in' and branding becaming the norm.

When did you last visit love.com, moneymaker.com, etc? Other beasts entered the scene; olx, jumia, amazon, google, names with no meaning became hits.

I would prefer going for a prime 'working' domain which has expired than finance.ke or farmer.ke

That's just my opinion.

Some clarity please for those like me slow in these matters.

Are we talking about sonko.ke or sonko.co.ke ?

If it is sonko.co.ke, does this mean that according to the auction list, item number 913, www.sonko.co.ke is up for sale?

If so, then it would be a gold mine to buy and make something of such a site, in my personal opinion.

Someone had a very interesting take on www.sonko.co.ke back in 2013, link.

Sorry, no. It's .ke, not .co.ke.

That 2013 link is quite interesting!!!

A lot of those prime working domains are usually parked, and auctioned at expensive prices.
