Terrible results... going to get worse

1. Rate cap...will hit lending to real estate
2. Going forward I expect GoK to start consolidating and go slow on infrastructure because of rising debt
3. Some players are still increasing capacity in a shrinking industry.... price wars will further cut margins

Wacha nicheke kidogo...hahahaha. Biashara ya simiti hata huko Tanzania na Ethiopia (7% + 1 GDP growth) imekuwa ngumu. e.g., hapa Kenya market ya 32.5 ni ya Mombasa cement, Savanna na Simba. Infrastructure e.g., SGR na barabara za gorofa simiti ni Rhino na Bamburi.Hi narrative ya economy ina bomoka tuliwachia Nyanza super alliance(NASA)

@Fyatu kindly give me 5 listed companies that have reported increased profitability in 2017

Kenya power
Kenol Kobil
Total Kenya
Safaricon
Stanlib fahari i-reit
Standard media group
Longhorn publishers
EAGADS

EAPCC died years ago but it has lots of land and concessions [Athi River is now part of Greater Nairobi]. Bamburi owns 46% of EAPCC.
ARM needs to consolidate. The TZ operations are suffering.

I expect second half of the year to be good for bamburi especially after these issues of elections are over.
