Looks like the rumour of a Kenyatta-Moi dynasty could be true

Uhuru went to meet baba wa taifa in Kabarak on the eve of supreme court ruling...

There's a likelihood of us having a Project Gideon a la Project Uhuru of 2002

Could lead to lots of friction within Jubilee

He previously declared his support for the the DP unlike mo1 who dismissed his. In any case, it will fail.

That is how these things start. Goodwill is worth more than gold and this is how it is built. Relationships are everything. D.T. Moi has a bigger regional goodwill bank than any Kenyan president ever. If Gideon plays his cards well he can inherit it. "Bringing greetings from mzee" is enough to open many doors for him.

I think that will be his strength. Being underestimated, not being forceful. Such guys are good listeners. After 10 years in power Ruto will have a hard time claiming he is still a hustler. Gideon will be the underdog. As far as people are concerned Gideon is still safi kama pamba even if there has been mention of Mobitelea and Kroll report etc there are no local enemies who can say alinifanyia or alichukua shamba yangu. 20 years is also enough to shield him from his father's sins.

The biggest elephant in the room will however be Mt. Kenya. Wasapere can laugh and dine with Ruto but he can never delude himself that they can trust him. I believe Gideon is more sellable in Mt. Kenya region than Ruto.

I think the 2022 race will go into a runoff because nobody will win the 1st round. Mt. Kenya will not vote as a block in 2022. Alliances will have to be crafted going into the runoff and anything could happen.

Meanwhile if Gideon gets into cabinet, Ruto had better watch out.

Gideon Moi is no Uhuru Kenyatta. he cant win even if uhuru backs him.

uhuru was not made president by moi as has become a common saying nowadays. moi only introduced him to politics. uhuru became president because of backing kibaki and his perceived role as a savior of his people in the pev. that's how mount kenya moved solidly behind him and gave him a powerful negotiating position nationally.

gideon doesnt have the kalenjin behind him and there's no sign there'll be a massive national crisis that will enable him pry them away from ruto. the uhuru presidency was a result of several circumstances coming together. it was a stroke of good luck. lightning will not strike twice.
All my friends are heathens, take it slow. Wait for them to ask you who you know. Please don't make any sudden moves.
