Just like how the Luos have entrenched themselves in Kibera, the Luhya feel that they need a place of their own where they can dominate socially and politically. They want to make Kawangware a place where the mulembe nation can live the same way Luos do in Kibera. The Kisiis are not being left behind in all these partitioning of Nairobi. They have their eyes on Dagoretti South. An area known is Kabiria is their preferred place of dominance.

What should be of concern is whether Amolo is replaying his 2007/08 plan. The plan entailed using a leader who is hostile to kikuyus living in his area. He used Ruto to kill kikuyus in Rift valley. Could he be implementing his strategy by using Arati? He also knows retaliation is likely and already you can hear that mungiki have been carrying out revenge. Could he be closing in on nusu mkate goverment again using his very effective game plan of 2007?Think

I hear the Nairobi Business community was on Thursday /Friday chopping off parts without taking guys to the river!! Pray Pray Pray Pray Very sad indeed if communities now start fighting against each other..WE NEED PEACE!!!

Madam admin, I am asking you to intervene and stop these wild inciting falsehoods. Or should I use @swenani's strategy and turn this thread to pornhub to get your attention ?

Its very wrong for people to conjure up clashes that never happened. Jeez, I am realizing most guys have no idea how kawangware looks.
@ZZE123,
For starters, there was no Mungiki. On Friday, someone mobilized idle youths from Waithaka and Kikuyu after convincing them that there was a gang in Kawangware that was chopping off fingers of anyone who had voted. For the record that was a lie. On Thursday evening several shops had been vandalized in 46/56 area but it had more to do with petty business rivalry than politics.

The young men from waithaka could not go beyond Naivasha road which is Kiuk territory in case you don't know. The 46/56 territory i.e the area traversed by Gitanga and macharia roads would be hostile territory. And it extends all the way to Kangemi.

On Friday they didn't go to 46/56 and I can guarantee you they won't. Actually what happened is that the tension in 46/56 exploded into violence when the rumour that mungiki were on naivasha road. Waiyaki way supermarket next to Braeburn almost got burnt down.

Over the weekend, it was not a good idea for a non-kiuk to go to Naivasha road. The same for a kiuk to be in Kawangware. All because someone started the same rumour you are propagating here.

During the PEV in 2008, a small town called Matunda was enjoying unusual peace. The warlords from the north rift decided to do something about it. They got young Kalenjin men from other areas and lied to them that their kin were being slaughtered by kiuks in Matunda. When the group arrived in a truck in Matunda to attack, they were quickly overpowered. None of them survived. (Source - CIPEV /Waki report).

This weeks gutter press (Weekly citizen) says National Resistance Militia has a media and propaganda unit/wing.I think at FROM is heading that unit.

NB:-Am ashamed🙈to admit that I read gutter press and to even quote it here.smile

Boss we can argue politics but its reckless to play with a matchbox after pouring petrol in your house.

In 2009 I was running a kerosene pump business in 56 area. I have relatives and friends there.
The claim that mungiki were circumcising people in kawangware is a lie. And a very reckless one at that. Someone will pick it here and share on facebook. And before long someone will call Mulembe or Ramogi fm with the same lie. And we all know who will be on the receiving end.

May be you don't care, but I care about the kiuks in kawangware. In 2007, I had to undertake a rescue mission of an elderly aunt in Kuresoi. The images have never left my mind. As far back as 2013, I stated on this forum I can never support any party with WSR in it.

Now for the umpteenth time let me paint a picture of kawangware from 26th.

26th Oct - Voting takes place but with very low turnout. Majority boycott.
26th Evening - Gangs vandalize mostly makeshift vibandas around 46/56 area.
27th Morning - Rumours start that jubilee supporters in kawangware are having their fingers chopped off.
27th afternoon - Idle youths mostly from waithaka march along Naivasha road. Harassing anyone who looks like a NASA supporter. I repeat they were not Mungiki.
27th Evening - In 46/56 area, the rumour is that mungiki are on their way to kawangware. The NASA youth are more aggresive this time. Most kiuk businesses vandalized. Some burnt down. Cops shoot three dead. An innocent guy killed on false allegations that he is mungiki.

Weekend - Tension high but no further clashes.

I repeat stop these baseless rumours. The people who stand to lose most are innocent kiuks. People I know and care about.

Good example yesterday there was a lady on NTV i think Olga or its Ogre not sure, while on the show she was talking about how people react and she said that her pastor just called her to say that there are gunshots in kibera implying it could be as a result of presidential announcement. In real sense it was a gang that was trying to hijack guys entering NHC estate just above the bridge on southern bypass and by good luck police were not far thus a shooting ensued. I can imagine what kenyans watching thought about what she said, probably kibera is on fire
Life is an endless adventure

@jumpsteady, let me get this straight from you. Are you saying Baba told WSR to do it for him in the RV ? And I presume Baba forgot to tell his people in Nyanza to do the same ? Because I know very well there was not a single recorded kiuk fatality in Nyanza.

Do you remember that folklore we used to be told by our grandmas in the village ? The one where the hyena and rabbit agreed to each go home and beat up their wives ? I am sure you have heard the Mike Rua version. The hyena beat the wife to pulp while smart rabbit was beating a drum. Are you suggesting that is what happened in 2007 between Baba and WSR ?

And if you have been following up the happenings in Kawangware, you wouldn't even mention Arati. You and I know the NIS is monitoring his every movement. If he attempted to coordinate attacks, he would be arrested instantly.

It is likely your Aunt told you the same. Amolo knows how to exploit the "soft underbellies" of his opponents and all the time seem to be uninvolved.

Nation are true githeri media. They did not see the need to interview OCPD Dagoreti, Redcross or KNCHR.

First they throw a figure of 15 fatalities without providing context. Fact of the matter is 14 were killed by cops and one innocent kikuyu guy killed around congo area on friday on the false allegation that he was Mungiki.

Then in an article claiming politicians are the ones behind clashes in Kawangware, they claim both MPs, KJ and Arati refused to comment on the article. And they go ahead to quote an ODM MCA claiming gangs are being mobilized from dagoreti south.

KHNCHR, Red-cross and an online group calling themselves @RescueBnB have been on the ground from Thursday last week. The online group connect people who need shelter with well-wishers.

I am here thinking of a diehard NASA supporter in Migori reading the Nation story and he fills in the gaps left by the article. "That their people are being killed by Mungiki in Kawangware." And the idiot directs his anger to a hardworking Kikuyu family running their business in Migori.

I have sent a tweet to the Nation public editor, and to KJ.
