This looks like a topic for the boy child and girl child office politics. Girl child took over the workplace and boy child became a weak pushover who vents out on forums.

As for objectification I thought women spend a fortune on fashion and make up to keep appearances and fend off other women. Anyway what do i know...let me go back to my PYT

Does misogyny have a cause? Does it have a history?

I've been tracing histories of different peoples and trying to find patterns and it all goes to the primal family.

Every age must confront the question of the primal family and how each age and people and culture answer questions emerging is very revealing.

Humanity is always building itself and right now we must reconstruct the primal family afresh given what we've learnt about nature, and ourselves.

But it all goes back to the begining; the tree of life, the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. But we've grown prejudiced to these realities, I wonder how we can regain an interest in them.

You want to use that Lupita thread as your example? It's now misogynistic to question an accuser who has holes in their story? I'm guessing the right thing to do would be to believe her word without question? If there's one thing I am getting tired of nowadays, it's hyper progressive people who jump on any trending issue and dogmatically take the extreme left position. Have some sense of discernment to question things and rely on evidence instead of being dogmatic and unwavering.

Where are the holes in her story? Please tell us.

Shak has raised a very important issue. The "downright contemptuous attitudes towards women" is one of the things making Wazua a rather unpleasant place to hold level-headed conversations.

So true its2013. Examples abound but it would be time consuming to give all the numerous examples on this forum where we are objectified. Those discussions about 'fish' and 'airports' really drive me up the wall

It is quite a pity that they make Wazua look more and more like a social media "Idler's Corner". The quality of discussions on even the most important threads has been sliding down a steep slippery slope but... what can we expect from minds seemingly willfully caged in retrogressive attitudes?

I just have to say something about this especially after the thread on Lupita. There's too much of it in this forum and unfortunately no one is speaking up about it. From objectification to downright contemptuous attitudes towards women. It's high time those perpetrating these attitudes put a stop to it.

Couldn't have said it better. Reason why I rarely come on here nowadays.
