NASWA have said that they will be having demos daily culminating with the mother of all demos on 26/10. Easy!!.....The President should declare a state of emergency from 23rd to 30th with shoot to kill orders for anyone defying the order. Meanwhile, someone should go to SCORK and pray that we recount the 8/8 presidential votes just in case nasa makes it impossible to vote in Luo Nyanza on 26th. So how would voting happen in a state of emergency? With shoot to kill orders in place, who will dare get out of their house to go vote? Voters should also be asked to arm themselves to defend themselves against anyone out to prevent them from exercising their sovereign right on 26th.

The Election Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2016, 55B provide for postponement of elections in a constituency, county or ward there is reason to believe that a serious breach of peace is likely to occur if the election is held on that date. It further states in part(3) that... "(Notwithstanding the provisions of this section, the Commission may, if satisfied that the result of the elections will not be affected by voting in the area in respect of which substituted dates have been appointed, direct that a return of the elections be made" Orengo knew what he was talking about yesterday. Elections for Nyanza might be held later if the turn out in Jubilee strongholds will not be high enough to render the Luo Nyanza votes irrelevant. Thank you for clarifying. Babu Riek will be contained. TULIA.........UFUNZWE!

Election papers are guarded like currency. If one attempts anything, you don't need the president to give any orders for the police to deal with the criminals. BBI will solve it :)

The demos don't make sense, that's why turn out is dwidling by the day. like in Nairobi, a city of 4m+, only handful of like 20-30 guys came out today. Even the guys who are coming out to demonstrate know it doesn't make sense, they only come out coz baba said so. Imagine they're still saying iebc officials should resign yet election is in 10 days! Is it possible to recruit new officials to preside? Is common sense common?

No it was not on principled grounds. In his senile head he believes he is equal to Uhuru and therefore must oppose or do what UK is doing. He thought he was pulling a fast one but it has backfired on him.The village goon in him can only resort to violence. What a shame. Love is beautiful and so are those who share it.With Love, Marriage is an amazing event in ones life time, the foundation of joy, happiness and success.

Ni kubaya....sign of things to come. #Secession The Star wrote:In Siaya county, IEBC trainees were smoked out of training in Bondo, Gem, Ugunja and Alego Usonga by irate youths who said they have gone against Raila Odinga's wish.
Bondo returning officer John Matekwa said they were forced to push the training indefinitely.
"POs and the DPOs had just reported for the training when a group of rowdy youths, armed with machetes and other crude weapons, came for them."
Matekwa said some police officers sustained minor injuries and that the crowd smashed windows.
Migori police were forced to fire several shots in the air on Tuesday to disperse a crowd that tried to chase IEBC officials from an elections training.
A group chanting "No Reforms! No Election" stormed Lion Simba Hotel in Migori town and started throwing stones at the facility.
Some of the protesters tried scaling walls around the establishment before officers arrived and fired live bullets. Police were called by the officials and managers of the hotel.

IEBC should abandon any efforts to carry out elections in Luo Nyanza....They will spare a life/lives. If anything, the elections act allows them to. Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.

LINK People need to listen to RAO between the lines. He knows he has miscalculated big time and he is asking to be saved from himself. And yet the duo keep squeezing. I think Uhuru should meet with him privately and quietly offer to pay all the debts that he has incurred during this punishing political season and to guarantee him a comfortable retirement. Alternatively we could open a paybill account to changa for Baba's retirement - but then the embarrassment.... "The opposite of a correct statement is a false statement. But the opposite of a profound truth may well be another profound truth." (Niels Bohr)

The IEBC has a legal right to postpone elections in a particular region/area if it might interfere with peace. I foresee Luo Nyanza and Kibera among other few polling stations postponing. Uhuru will be declared legally elected. NASA will appeal to the Supreme Court which will throw out the case with costs as the remaining votes will not affect the final figures. As always, I maintain voting in Africa must be restricted work to prosper

As always, I maintain voting in Africa must be restricted For naswa to cause massive chaos over wide regions would require a lot of planning, mobilisation and funding over a period of time. They are unable to do this coz it is illegal and we have some cases in court where some have been charged, fear of visa bans, arrests, icc, etc So methinks elections will go on throughout the country on 26th. However you can't rule out localised problems in few selected areas, and elections can be postponed in such. Raila has goofed big time this time.
