No. But all indications are clear he won't allow an election with the country as 'divided' as it is. He will use law to stop the election if need be. He is calling for a meeting with all political players.

Can't blame chebukati, I respect him through all this and the IEBC did a sterling and commendable job, it was the best election I had ever witnessed, till the bribed but "holy" maraga came in with his stupid sold out jinga ideas, killing 42 people with his ideas and collapsing better performing institutions than his, pointing at the speck in his brothers eyes as the whole of Kenya follows his "holy" Sabbath dictates, and ignoring completey the log in his eyes as Kenya spirals into chaos, throw this jingas in jail.

He is not known to be a risk taker, also know to change his mind often, talk was that he was to announce his departure during that presser but somehow he changed his mind and placed conditions on the same.
One gets a felling this was in the plans, for sometime and events elsewhere have made the same more complex, but we wait and see, the good thing about our constitution is that it does not allow a power vacuum so uhuru it is at least for the next year.

His statement was very vague because even in a match where you are the referee the opposing sides are never buddies until the match is over. So unless he just wants the players (8 or is it 7) of them sitting together and asking their supporters to stop cheering then I really do not get him

listening to that statement, chebukati will either resign or abscond from announcing a winner on 26th. naona akitokezea na statement kama ya kivuitu i.e. he doesnt know whether the poll is credible or not.

I don't think so. This is his easiest election ever. On the ballot, you have one strong contender, one forfeiter and the rest. How easy can it be? After that you fire Chilobae and continue earning your 2m per month for the next 5 years bila stress.

BBI will solve it

The word on the ground is that the hurried departure by Akombe has everything to do with the raid on the Njigi houses and some money had been changing hands...

Have we forgotten this is the same commision where an unsigned propaganda letter was uploaded using the official twitter handle of IEBC. For those with short memories, the letter was purpotedly written by 5 commisioners denouncing their chairman. Two of those commisioners would later denounce the letter denouncing the chairman.

Isn't this the same commision where 9,000 transactions were done using a password created in the chairman's name behind his back ? And isn't it the same place where the chairman attempted to fure the head of ICT and his thuggish assistants only for Chirobber to tell them to stay put.

WSR wasn't mincing his words when he said Chiloba has to oversee the election "mpende msipende".

WAY FORWARD

1. Sign the election ammendment bill into law.
2. Alternatively appoint Pauline Njoroge to replace Akombe.
3. If Chebukati resigns, Wahome Thuku can replace him.
4. Lets have Uhuru's birthday party on 26th.
5. Thereafter appoint Chiloba to cabinet because nobody outside jubilee can ever hire him.

In 2013 everyone was "the opposition"....we didn't have an incumbent.
