It would be beneficial for Pesalink to avail the different rates banks charge for using this service on its website. For example, StanChart charges as per the below schedule:

Transaction Amount Range Charge Amount
1 Kes 10- Kes 500 NIL
2 Kes 501- Kes 10,000 KES 40
3 Kes 10,001 – Kes50,000 KES 80
4 Kes 50,001-Kes 100,000 KES 120
5 Kes 100,001- Kes 200,000 KES 160
6 Kes 200,001 –Kes 500,000 KES 200
7 Kes 500,001-Kes 999,999 KES 250

Are they really bothered?

The systems at the receiving bank has been down for a week now.
It's sad it has taken them this long and still no hope in the immediate time.

I repeat this thing is bogus...The other day I got an sms about registration ...the last 4 digits of the account do not resemble any of mine...tried talking to them without lack...Honestly let me just stick to Mpesa and Online banking for large amounts (RTGS)....

And the sms they send after sending the money had no transaction reference alphanumeric code like in mpesa so u can track your transaction.
Sometimes you never get an sms notification from your bank.
sad

Sielewi Mimi.
I've been using Pesalink and 99% of the times, it's a smooth sail. Even for unregistered recipients. Actually the systems acknowledges the recipient is not registered, when confirming completed transaction. Complete with reference numbers included.

Same here. Used it without hitch. Note in some cases, like Coop, of you use their phone number, it goes to mobile wallet. Otherwise, if you use account number, it goes to their bank.

Uptake of Pesalink is definitely a great alternative to expensive MPesa.

Same here, Works for me , perfectly. So far.

Life is joy, death is peace, but the transition is very difficult.
