As far as law is concerned, the kenyan state has 3 arms - independent and interdependent
1) the legistlative - to make laws
2) the judiciary - interpret the laws
3) the executive - to execute the laws!

last time there was a 'f*ck up' by an organ in the 3rd arm....someone rubbed in the 4-2 goal score by the 'majority' of one of those arms... sasa ni 144 - 53 cricket/basketball/rugby score! by the one that makes the law!

Seriously... we need to think about it, the IEBC is a constitutional body... made independent by that document that NASWA claims gives them the right to picket and mourn. (a philosophical tangential question - does the constitution 'give' rights or does it 'recognize' rights?).
The same constitution recognizes that legistlative arm of government MAKES laws... under the framework it sets out.
You run around, picket, state that you will block a LAWFUL ELECTION imposed by the courts because of the 'constitution', demand the disbandment (wish to force out of office an independent body) THEN cry foul when someone uses legal means to address his grievances with the Supreme court (which is also independent). No one should complain about or even seek to lawfully change the Courts since they are 'independent' but you can complain about the 'IEBC' and unlawfully seek to change the IEBC?

Surely!! The law is only good when it works for you?

So Now we are at NASA's irreducible minimums vs Jubilee's Amendment laws...Who will give in first?

I saw Baba was today meeting the envoys. Was waiting for a presser but none was forthcoming. Wonder what were the deliberations.

Uhuru will not shelve the law review. He can stay off elections if he wants to.

For those who have read and understood the bill, does it advantage Jubilee at the expense of NASWA?Or is it evenning the ground for all?

As for Babu its best to ignore him.He has made too many demands, said so many lies, blamed everybody and anybody......so he is free to do whatever he deems fit. Chebukati said elections will be held on 26th October 2017.Those who do not want to participate are within their constitutional right to do so.

Otherwise #Tukutanekwadebe.

Maraga should have shut up, ...
that declaration about annulling the repeat as well if it had flaws made this whole thing a do-or-die affair.
Whichever way you slice and dice it, we are at the mercy of mobs, and a huge mob handed Jubilee a staggering majority in parliament which they will use to devastating effect.
They will pound the opposition and judiciary to dust.

Why should we trust what he says anyway? He's forever shifting goalposts. Let Uhuru go ahead and sign the bill into law
