Some context in this saga. Kim Jong Un is the Chairman of the Workers Party of Korea and one of the 5 members of the Politburo Standing Committee. He is the supreme leader but he has 4 other guys who form part of the highest leadership body. There is a structure here and people who talk of Kim Jong Un as if he is a lone warrior will miss the significance of his actions.

Kim Jong Un is 33 years old. The other members of the Standing Committee are ages 89, 78, 77 and 67. Kim Jong Un could very well be the grandchild of the other Politburo Committee members. The 89 year old guy, his name is Kim Yong-nam is President of the Supreme Peoples Assembly and was the Foreign affairs Minister for 15 years for both Kim Jong Un's father Kim Jong Il and his Guka Kim Il Sung. Its actually interesting that he became Foreign Affairs Minister the year Kim Jong Un was born. All the other guys were all at one time of the other in Kims father or grandfathers government.

Korea had been occupied (colonised) by the Japanese for 35 years from 1910 to 1945 and the Japanese were very brutal to the Koreans. During the Korean War it is said not a single building was left standing in North Korea by the time Americans were done bombing it. About 2 million people died.

Muarmar Gadafi was sweet talked by the Americans until he gave up development of Nuclear Weapons. They at one time made him believe that he was their friend. North Korea had also entered into a disarmament program and from 1994 to 2003 was actually complying. I even remember watching on TV demolitions of Nuclear power plants. Other countries that also gave up their programs include South Africa. In 2002 president Bush used the term Axis of evil to describe North Korea, Iran and Iraq but there was a bigger group that included Libya, Cuba and Syria that would all be treated as enemies.

The wazees of North Korea have seen all this stuff and have come to the conclusion that they do not have a friend in the world. Do not trust anybody. Build yourself up to where you can defend yourself and then you deal with the outside world as equals. Kim Jong Un is actually being very rational.

Great summary of why the little country has checkmated the BIG bad wolf. Plus South Korea stays being a good big brother: South Korea approves $8m aid package for North Korea

I think the next big step for North Korea is the detonation of a Nuclear or Hydrogen Bomb in the Pacific like they are reporting. Ideally if they can carry the bomb on one of their ICBMs then they will have proved to everyone that they not only have the bomb but that they can deliver it. At this point the West will have to accept that North Korea is a Nuclear power and learn to live with it the way they learnt to live with China, India and Pakistan.

But because of all the uchokozi they have been subjected to North Korea will not stop there. Remember their main target is reunification so the next thing will be to instigate the South Koreans to kick out the US troops based in South Korea. With increasing public pressure the US may leave but South Korea will insist that they get Nuclear weapons as well to protect themselves. If South Korea gets nuclear weapons then Japan must also have Nuclear weapons. The technological capabilities of South Korea and Japan are such that they can develop nuclear weapons very quickly so in a matter of months of very few years they can be ahead of North Korea. South Korea and North Korea both share a common hatred of Japan from the time they had been colonised by Japan. If Japan develops a nuclear weapon the Koreans will more seriously consider reunification for strength.......

If Korea and Japan go nuclear then Iran will want one as well and if Iran gets it you can be sure Saudi Arabia will want one as well.

I do not see how we will go another 30 years without a nuclear war. So far the world has done very well, it has only been 72 years since a nuclear weapon was used in war. If we go 100 (2045) years we will have done really really well.

Nukes is going to be a game changer. Am doing myself a bunker to ensure i see through the D-day atleast before i have a comprehensive plan of where to move to. d'oh! d'oh! d'oh! d'oh!. I believe that the MCAs should by now be regislating that every develpment plan should include a nuclear safe bunker amongest the basic requirements before it is consider for approval as a matter of public interest. Do we have bunker experts/ specialists in wazua. How do i keep the fallout away from my safety if at all i will not be at ground zeroSad smile Laughing out loudly

It does not necessarily mean Mussa Bin Bique has done anything wrong... But when Uncle Sam wants something from you and they arm twist you, they associate you with some perceived bad guy... We know that trick... And who else can splash that lie on the screens all over the world in a second: CNN!

Mozambique has one of the world's largest reserves of Natural Gas and Coal. During the cold war America and Russia were never at war with each other directly, they never bombed each other but they were at war that was fought in different parts of the world in Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan etc. The two big powers right now are US and China.

In the coming years Africa would be the perfect place to fight proxy wars and test each others strengths.

Exactly @kusadikika... It is possible this bully wants a piece of flesh from the gas reserves and probable Musa Bin Bique wasn't willing... that's why they are being branded... Before killing a dog first claim it ate your chicken...

Rüssïä too is not bending their knees to Ù.Š... They will supply the oil to whoever they feel like... If anyone insists on intimidattion, then the world will head into WWÌÌÌ...

This is a good thing... everyone wants peace in the world. And no peace is achieved without balance of power.

Also I said before that, Trump win was a good thing. Everybody needed the break... The temporary stand-off postponed the imminent WWÌÌÌ. But as things look, this war is coming...

So in the meantime cheers on buddies!

NOTE: I have to repeat that I'm not saying I support/supported Trump! No! He is a school boy president!

I watched the whole thing from time he walked across, through the match on the red carpet to the inspection of the guard of honor to the signing of the visitors book. This is a confident man, he is a man in control. President Moon was saluting to his country's flag but Kim did not even acknowledge its existence. Even the pen to sign the visitors book was brought by his own people, he does not trust anyone. These North Koreans are political geniuses. There is no way you can get a good deal while negotiating from a position of weakness. I can bet there is no way the North is giving up those weapons...... well I take that back they can but the price will be something high like total unification with Kim as president of all of Korea.

He is 36 years old so he has time on his side. His grandfather ruled for 48 years.
