Judges and all Judicial officers have a mandate that comes from Parliament, Judicial Service Commission and the Executive. A president and the JSC can form a tribunal to investigate and remove judges. It is much harder to remove someone who has been elected.

The petition on his 2 colleagues is an indictment on SC so I would have expected him to at bare minimum reaffirm that he and his colleagues are beyond reproach and open to scrutiny any time any day in accordance with constitution and rule of law.
