I'm still trying to understand what's happening there. There was talk about Aung Su Kyi blaming terrorists for spreading false information.

And what can we do about the evil happening around us?

Who are we in the first place?

Know what is missing from this sequence of the forgotten? Yemen-I cannot bring myself to post the heartbreaking pics. What is sadder? it's another Arab nation/theocracy (Saudi Arabia) that is inflicting the pain. And while we are at it, let's not forget Libya and the re-enslavement of Africans....

The Myanmar / Burma issue is complex . Many outside might not understand. Anyway Buddhist as a religion is the most peaceful and accommodating under the sun.

I feel you @alpha. This world is a cold place. The dehumanizing of victims.

We saw it when russia-backed separatists brought down a passenger plane in Ukraine. The world looked the other way.

We see it when Israel commits unspeakable atrocities against Palestinians. World looks the other way.

Some victims are fair game. That seems to be the new rule.

The line between right and wrong got blurred.

Now it's Muslim victims so what's the big deal ?

We saw it in our country a few weeks ago. The church kept quiet as sadistic brutality was directed on a single community. And nearly half of the country didn't see anything wrong when a 6 months toddler became a victim.

It is sad. And again youth, Jubilee supporters on Thika Road are reported to have been rioting and forcing motorists to speak usapere and asking if you're #teamNasa or #teamJubilee... And sadly earlier the police said it was a peaceful demonstration... At the same time Moses Kuria is openly speaking in a public rally that he would *!# RAO himself... I can't believe this is our country with such impunity!

@amores, it is quoted that:

During the interview, Husain repeatedly asked Suu Kyi to condemn anti-Islamic sentiment and the wave of mob-led massacres of Muslims in Myanmar, and she declined to do so.

However, she said: “I think there are many, many Buddhists who have also left the country for various reasons,” she replied. “This is a result of our sufferings under a dictatorial regime.”

The Nobel laureate’s vague attitude towards the violence suffered by Myanmar’s Muslim minority has alarmed even her most devoted fans.

I am all for the eradication of the Islamic mindset from the midst of humanity. Totally!

That is one way our future peace and happiness may be guaranteed from senseless killings perpetuated by individuals who carry out - to its logical conclusions - the rabid and nonsensical teachings of Islam.

I may not necessarily agree with some of the various methods in use, however.

@Alpha,

You only start a thread when it is very convenient for you. You are very comfortable playing the Muslim victim. I wouldn't have had this kinda thought, say for example, you had started a thread on May 27th this year, condemning the killing of 29 Coptic Christians in Egypt by you know who. Should i blame it on your goggles?

Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.

@guka, I feel you. I remember the Egypt incident. It was evil. And the Islamic State claimed ownership. And you know what bro, they are who they are: terrorist! See what I said about them, again and again:

AlphDoti wrote:
I repeat: I have said here again and again that ISIS, Al Qaeda, Taliban, Boko Haram, Al Shabaab are all criminal groups. They don't represent Islam. Islam does not teach anyone killing of an innocent person/civilian, whether through aggression or suicidal means, is under no circumstances permissible in Islam. Islam is against that! So as far as terrorism is concerned, it is haram in Islam and whoever does, will go to hell. And Muslims including myself have always spoke out, condemning these groups, telling the world, Wazua included that these people are not representing Muslims. This is not Islam. What they do or say is contrary to the Islamic teaching.

Now regarding a thread on this, it was worth one. You could have started it too bro. And I would not have rebuked you by saying you started it coz you're playing the Christian victim. No! Just like any other incidences we have seen, no one here support terror attacks on any people, regardless of whether on Christians or Muslims.

And this Egypt incident received instant condemnation all over the world! Even from Muslim scholars.

However, as Burma case this issue is continuing for years. Just to call upon the world to rise against the military crackdown on Rohingya people. People are being killed, women are being raped... this happened for so long and the world is doing nothing about it...

I hope you understand...

Furthermore @guka, remember two wrongs do not make one right.

As I have said here before, and I have told you again and again, Islam is clear on the issues of killing innocent lives regardless of the religion. The fact that I didn't mention the Egypt incident in May 2017 doesn't make it right and the fact that I mentioned the Burma case doesn't make it wrong.

First I thought it was a child who posted this. If you can type such insensitive words, then your so-called intelligence is all sham. It does not help you.
