Too bad the opposition left immediately after being sworn in to please Baba. It would have been good to have remained and vote for their candidate.

At least the opposition will have leadership of the PAC committee.

Meanwhile the MIB have been very busy....

Quote:
The election of Migori County Assembly Speaker was scuttled after youths stormed the chambers and assaulted members.

The youths abruptly raided the assembly where stiff competition was being witnessed between lawyer Kerario Marwa and North Kadem MCA Boaz Okoth.

The youths who were armed with crude weapons beat up MCAs, took away ballot boxes and papers before breaking them outside the assembly.

What exactly was NASA's strategy today!
In the Senate their team participated in electing the Speaker - whereby Jubilee candidate Ken Lusaka easily beat Farah Maalim of NASA.

On the other hand, in the National Assembly NASA MPs opted not to participate in electing the house Speaker but Jubilee's choice Muturi was elected by over 60% of the house absolute membership!!

Do we have a focused and organised opposition?

I wonder what would have caused this since this is ODM homeground.

I wonder who will care remember after 3 years that the opposition refused to vote for speaker and deputy. I wonder who will suffer the most.

Also, I wonder why they are now saying that Lusaka was corrupt. Wasn't he in their party? What disciplinary action did they take then?

BBI will solve it

We Kenyans will all suffer. The corrupt don't care about you and me...just themselves and their cronies.

Your life won't improve one bit regardless of which idiot is in charge...prepare for 5 more years of mad spending and debt loading.

The problem we face is that alternative voice and reason will be strangled when only one party, Jubilee, is in control of National Assembly, Senate, Council of Governors, County Assemblies etc. An alternative voice away from Baba and Co, needs to emerge to provide an alternative view.

Parliament is independent. Their main work is to legislate and check excesses in Govt.

The presidency is not vacant. The current office holder remains in office till he hands over to the next president - never mind that in the interim, the presidents powers are slightly curtailed.
