Hassan overestimated his popularity. He should have run for senate. He's an activist and not a politician and activists have been floored everywhere. That was a terrible error on his part.

BBI will solve it

The old guards who fought Moi will soon have no constituency as more voters get to be young people who didn't know what they did.

Baba sycophants will really be orphaned .... Junet, Babu Owino, Mbadi etc. Joho will survive!!!

the rest yes but Babu Owino has a long political career ahead of him and seems more independent of RAO.
All my friends are heathens, take it slow. Wait for them to ask you who you know. Please don't make any sudden moves.

IT'S TIME TO MOVE ON...

I believe 15 years on is an appropriate to time to re-evaluate. I plunged into politics late 2002, and completed my term at the Senate just over a week ago. During that period, I was out of parliament 2008 - 2013. I did not vie for any elective post in the last General election and do not intend to do so in future, insha Allah. Its time to move on.

Leadership is a calling, not a job. It requires sacrifice & patience as one seeks to influence change in society. Alhamdulillah, I have done my utmost to deliver on trust & responsibility bestowed on me. Allah will judge me on it and I seek His mercy for my shortcomings.

I thank Mandera residents and Kenyans in general for the opportunity to serve them in humility. As I pursue other interests in life, I will endeavour to contribute to the development of our great nation in other ways.

To my many friends & followers on the social media, my accounts will remain active but only on social matters.
Thank you all.

It's miscalculations we see every day even with RAO
- of your free will, you do something good for the people, you pay a personal price for it. You gain status and AUTOMAGICALLY assume that this status translates to people choosing you for an elective post. it's really entitlement to me... you are not entitled to anything!! Kenyan people did not get into a transaction with you on that matter... asante sana... ulijituma... asante none the less but don't hold it over our heads... it never works!!
