The Nasa Coalition won't last for a year, it is ice in the sun from now

Let us have all Good Views!!!

Raila is still strong for atleast another 10 years. He will lead ODM without being on the ballot and play a key role of kingmaker. There are a group of leaders within ODM: 1.Josphat Nanok 2.Hassan Joho 3.James Ongwae 4.Wycliff Oparanya.Raila will do well to groom them into a strong cohesive unit that will take over from him when he finally steps back and let them lead. This will take time and wont be done in a hurry. As of now, there is no vacancy in ODM leadership.Raila is the party leader while 001 and Oparanya are his deputies.

Those are all non-starters plus parties belong to tribes, just like Ford Kenya will always be a luhya party, ODM must remain a Luo party or lose out. Mdvd and Kalooser could have easily consolidated into ODM instead of forming NASA but they know the implication of how they will be seen by their tribes. So Nanok and Joho should just forget.

BBI will solve it

From the word go, Kalonzo had declared Raila cannot beat Uhuru in polls. Kalonzo followed Raila blind folded just incase his forethought was not as good as he knew it.
Now he should tell Raila the same TRUTH that he had predicted that he(Raila) could not beat Uhuru

Jubilee even was gunning to a 72% if all voters came out and voted well.

Raila other aim is to discredit Ruto for the 2022 as someone they beat in 2017. Nothing to lose by doing so by ODM who think their candidate could beat Ruto in 2022 hoping that not all Kenyans will support Ruto as they did for Uhuru

The game being played is that to screw Ruto 2022 where Raila want to play a King Maker!!

I still believe Raila has one national elections in him.....but not for the presidency. One way to keep the NASA coalition together is to engage in a national political activity, and the best bet for that is a referendum in 24-36 months time ...A sort of midterm elections.

A referendum that has one theme: Pesa Mashinani. It was one of their key pillars in the just ended elections and a push to have 45-50% of all government funds devolved would get nationwide appeal (its hard to see which governor would not want three times the allocation they currently get). That issue being dear to most Kenyans would find widespread support in most regions of Kenya. However, it would make matters very complex for Jubilee to balance the budget with the huge loans that they took during the 1st term while possibly giving NASA an electoral win that would bind the principals together and a feel good factor for their supporters going into 2022.

Time will tell but don't be surprised if the next push by NASA after losing the presidential petition is not far from what I have documented here.......a deepening of federalism that started with devolution.

Happy hunting.

Wetangula ni kelele tu but eventually anaweza tosheka if he's offered kiti ya Deputy President. The problem will be getting either Mudavadi or Kalonzo to step down for the other.
All my friends are heathens, take it slow. Wait for them to ask you who you know. Please don't make any sudden moves.

Unfortunately, numbers are not on their side. Numbers in counties and the national assembly.
