Chiloba doing a better job than the chairman.

Absolutely my observations too. Old fork seems totally out of sync, defensive & zero confidence of what he's talking about. Did he loose out on something here?

CEO striking out as smart, sober & composed.. just love the great confidence he's showing the world.

What i see is a clear delineation of duties between them. questions, statisctisc and technicalities are handled by the CEO.

Questions on process are being handled by Chairman.

The team looks in sync and organised overall.

There are lots of people around Babu who are his worst enemies. They lie to him and then make him lie to himself and to the whole world. Take the case of Jimmy!. If he so believes the entire election was manipulated, why has he not denounced his win in Siaya for a start?. POoR BABU!Pray

What next for NASA? If I was RAO, I would gracefully concede.

Yeah, this country needs to move on

Wambora now leading by 121 votes. 7 polling station to go

Embu, thrilling race. Down to the wire

@ 99.15%

1. MARTIN NYAGA Wambora JP 96 410 votes (38,80%)
2. LENNY MAXWELL KIVUTI MCCP 96 331 votes (38,77%)

this might be headed to the courts...

The over 5000 rejected votes, and over 500 would have very likely tipped the scales either way.

Wambora extends his lead to 581 votes. 3 polling stations remaining

my prediction is that the mount kenya voting block will gradually split if ruto does become president in 2022-2032. alot can happen between now and then but no one in the region is looking like a clear leader especially given the defeat of peter kenneth.

ruto being the shrewd politician he is, one of the primary goals of his presidency will be to make sure there doesnt emerge a threat to him in mount kenya during his presidency. he'll support multiple competing leaders. he'll be good to mount kenya especially in his first term to make sure there isnt a groundswell of resentment that could create a competitor to his interests.

he'll however also build new alliances across the country to reduce his dependence on any remaining mount kenya block in his second term or for his preferred successor. there's no guarantee that ruto will prefer to be succeeded by a kikuyu or a person from mount kenya.

uhuru will certainly not endorse any kingpin in mount kenya given how that will be interpreted in rift valley. at the national level, uhuru will have to lie low politically until circa 2030 by which time his relevance in central kenya politics will have diminished dramatically. he will have nowhere near the central kenya influence he has today. central kenya will be back to the era of multiple leaders a.la matiba vs kibaki vs ruto's kamothos

embu and especially meru region will gradually break away if the kikuyu elite fail to throw their weight behind a meru/embu becoming ruto's running mate or successor.

Mount Kenya block is not splitting any time soon during Ruto's tenure. Moi himself tried that from 1978...and for the next 24 years it was hell for this region. Even Ruto himself knows that he cannot ignore the 4.5m votes and he will do anything possible to retain it.

Like i told you, if their economic and social interests are threatened and a leader emerges who can lead them (not the baba style), the block is simply his. Think of Matiba and Kibaki...

I understand that all the form 34A and 34B's that have been perused so far tally 100% with the provisional results that were projected by IEBC. And thus the decision to concede.

The process seem to be fine, but the chairman is the presidential RO, and also his communication of the same process is important especially when results are close, perceptions are important in such cases.

Ekuru Aukot has conceded defeat and congratulated Ohuru for the big win. He has asked baba to also concede because all the form 34 a&Bs that Aukot's presidential agents has gone through are accurate.

will be interesting to see turnout when central kenya does not have a major presidential candidate as is likely to be the case in 2022.

True. I don't think Central will vote in a block of 80/20 but maybe 60/40. But Central politics are 100% about their issues eg, protection of businesses, markets, security etc. It's not about individuals.

A Ruto/Mutua ticket, with similar inroads into Coast, NEP and Western, will not need Central to win

@wakanyugi...you are very wrong...the mount kenya votes as per now is 4,382,000 votes.

This does not even include the votes from Nairobi and Nakuru regions.

Whoever inherits this block will either become a president in future or a king maker..

Nobody inherits a Central Kenya voting block.

Here leaders follow the people, not the other way round. How many times did Uhuru have to beg for support, even in Kiambu?

Voter apathy and fragmentation, especially if a credible Meru candidate emerges, is what will destroy this blocks potency.

My good friend Uhuru inherited the block from Kibaki after he was recommended by akina late wise Michuki and other elders. Michuki even said it in public.

Do you remember what happened to Uhuru in 2002...Uhuru had only been endorsed by Moi and believe me in Mt Kenya region he only got his votes from Kiambu area...that is why he lost to Kibaki.

This is an argument that only time can decide.

But think about this: both Uhuru and Kibaki were once abandoned by their own Kikuyu kin, granted for 'Mundu wa Nyumba' each time, but rejected all the same. In this election, Uhuru tried to sell a six piece narrative and was shouted down - and then followed the massacre of Independents (go figure).

Leading the Kikuyu is like herding a flock of cats. You take their loyalty for granted at your own political peril.

You made an important point in a different thread, that the one thing that gets the Kikuyu to really come out is when they feel under threat. Very true, they vote their own interest first, loyalty to a person, even their own, comes a distant second.

"The opposite of a correct statement is a false statement. But the opposite of a profound truth may well be another profound truth." (Niels Bohr)

i've come to believe rao is edged-on , by a myriad of phantom guys ,who ride on his tail coats but deliver nothing. Isaac ruto, mdvd, weta...u can't blame rao. He is mislead even by his inner court; Orengo ; to collect legal fee... poor baba, i voted for u. Now that phantom IT guy just disgraced everything....
