@Jaina, generally true although there are a number of military ops that take place within & slightly beyond our boundaries but never reach the public ear because of their highly classified nature.
The shifta war must rank as one of our fairly major military ops since independence.
Note having a strong military is a strong deterrence, and this is actually cheaper than a full-scale war because the deterrence can be built gradually over years thus not straining your resources. But when military hostilities break out - all the country's resources are channeled to the war effort.
