Obasanjo did not show up, he won. Not only that, Museveni of Uganda did not show up, he won. Let us leave Africa, Theresa May of UK did not show up, she won… 1. When people’s mind are made up, it is just as good as final, an example is Trump Vs Clinton. 2. Politics is a game of numbers, popularity and strategy, you have to get people talking. Has President Kenyatta not showing up not now making people talk more about him? YES. It is making him more popular and giving him name recognition. He’s the most important figure in the pack and a million others will bring him to facebook just as you have done. Absenteesm is part of political campaign, it’s a message to opponents that they are no match, he is busy, he has performed well as a President and there is nothing to talk about, he is on his way to victory.
Very interesting indeed.

Lets put it simply, it was a miscalculation that backfired badly on him, its time to move on and maybe what he needs to focus on is clawing back lost ground.
Many here trying to justify his decision to miss with fake certs, propaganda and discrediting the integrity of the organisers etc are just trying to console themselves, which by the way is ok.
But quickly move on,, Nasa is done with this and has moved to the next agenda. To contribute to this, trap or not, he ought to have attended. After all, he has tackled bigger traps in Hague and defeated them all. This was no big deal from that perspective. Anyway, Now back to a more itchy matter from my perspective, how the hell do I get some damn blue letters off my cap? Do you know? weka picha, then we will see how to advise I am happy

Very interesting indeed. No, she lost the slim majority she had, and in fact, many votes were pretty upset that she did not show up to answer questions, and on the rare occasions when she did, she was incoherent and over rehearsed. I think her days at #10 are numbered. I am happy

The presidential debate organising committee did a shoddy job. They should at least have the courtesy of consulting all participants equally. Kalonzo,Uhuru, Ruto are excellent debaters. Why did they opt out? Baba is a cunning old man. I'm very sure if Uhuru decided to participate he would have missed. work to prosper

c&p #WisdomKE via Odumbe Isaac Kute Hubris is dangerous. Perhaps one of the most famous examples of hubris was the spiritual decline of Lucifer into Saitan. Hubris is a classic indicator of the loss of contact with reality, and an over estimation of one’s own competence, accomplishments or capabilities. Showing a middle finger to your employer by refusing to turn up for a job interview believing you’ve already got the job is hubris. Refusing to spend 90 minutes explaining to your employer why they should give you another 5 years in the job is hubris. Illustrating to the citizens who intend to decide on their next employee at State House that they’re beneath you and it’s a waste of your time to engage with other candidates is hubris. But I think you already know this Mr President. I believe you know it because you’re foot soldiers have been all over mainstream and social media trying to fix the way you screwed this pooch. There are some times you can walk the cat back to salvage the situation. But hubris will never allow that to happen. Have a respectful day good people. Have a respectful day good people. Hubris or no hubris, whether he showed up for the debate or not is completely inconsequential. The voters already made up their minds years ago. Kenya is a tribal country and a debate is not going to change anybody's opinion on who to vote for. UK knows this and he decided to play it safe by not showing up. If there are undecided voters out there, it's probably less than 0.0001% (basically a handful of people) and they too will probably eventually vote based on tribe and not agenda. This is Kenya, a debate is a complete waste of time. In fact it is completely useless in all of Africa. It doe not change a thing, people will vote for their tribesmen, debate or no debate. The only people who are complaining are the people who didn't have anything better to do and feel bitter because they were deprived of something to entertain them on a lousy Monday evening and hence nothing to talk about on Tuesday morning when they meet their friends over tea. Nobody wanted to see the debate because they felt like they could be swayed one way or the other and that's why it was a waste of time. This is Africa man, it's not freaking USA. We are tribal and debates will not change our tribal inclination at all . UK lost exactly 0.000000% votes by skipping the debate. Let's not lie to ourselves.

That is the whole truth. UK supporters were disappointed he did not turn up but not enough to sway their vote. The last opinion polls showed that the most undecided were from Western. The difference is therefore next to zero for UK. Have a respectful day good people. This is Kenya. What happened yesterday is history, Kenyans have already moved on. Most Kenyans had already made up their minds anyway and don't forget that answering the questions doesn't mean you automatically believe. I think the questions were poorly structured. At the end of the debate all I remember is 'Joe'. BBI will solve it :)

The county has more than 450,000 voters and almost half of them are not from the Kalenjin community. Some of the groups have been classified as swing communities. I have no idea what is happening in Eld but it doesn't sound nice. Considering they are both Jubilee, Uhuru and Ruto should intervene to calm the tension in the town. Its taking a very ugly tribal angle. True, Uhuru and Ruto need to intervene. It seems the people are speaking but these two are not reading the signs. My opinion is if swing communities insist in OPENLY alienating themselves, it may not be very good now or 2022. Uasin Gishu guys had chosen Mandago but WSR seems to be vouching for Bzki in the back scenes... Baba has endorsed mandago for governor. They are birds of a feather....primitive warmongers. Was shocked to see baba and his zangalewa troop chanting "nasa Buzeki". http://www.the-star.co.k...t-eldoret-rally_c1604933

Mandago feels threatened by the kiuk and keiyo vote. The Nandi vote is his. If he were to get the luhya and Luo vote, then the governor seat is his to lose. Politics does make strange bedfellows indeed. If mandago supporters feel NASA helped them win the seat, they might look at Baba's candidature favourably.

1. Is Catherine Openda a director of Media Debate Limited? Is she also part of NASA strategy team?
2. Is Joe Ageo part of NASA / ODM communication team
3. Did Linus Kaikai stand for election with ODM? Is he still a member there?
If the above are true, what perception does that give about the debate? Would the moderation of the debate ever be fair and unbiased to both sides of the political divide if the above questions were answered affirmatively?
Once you jump a trap, you just go on with your strength not try to remove the trap, it may hit the enemy who set it hard!!! Uhuru has not stopped to see the trap but has moved forward fast. Now Melon is really taking about their trap that was useless. They were in front row and their LOP sweat, wondered, meandered, wept, fatigued and Joe-ed everyone in the Luo media Festival!!!

I think you should have said 'if they feel Nasa will help them win the seat..' All elections are being held on the same day But that won't happen. Not with people who believe baba is a devil worshipper
