Digital by passes the need to have a content distributor which has been the main revenue for the media houses. Content is created and served directly to the audience. Anyone heard for example of 'Jemo ule mse' on YouTube? That's a good example of content created and served directly to a targeted audience.
I'm not seeing how NMG and SGL will recover from that. Unless they buy a stake in channels like YouTube. This will need a radical change in their business models. This would be a good time and especially now that they still have the financial muscle.
There are too many opportunities all around. Open your eyes and maybe you'll spot one
