Barca want to pay £70m for Torres. Therefore chumes to buy Cesc are unavailable (unfortunately for Arsenal). They are holding up for Yaya Toure to make the most out of him. They also want Ibrahamovic and another man with a funny name which I cannot spell out. But they cannot get half of what they bought these two guys for. Spending big is not necessarily spending wisely. Debts have hit £460m.

@ Taz - might be true but the players, agents and selling clubs will definately look at exploiting the world cup run.

I guess the non-performance is due to different team, style of play and coach. Club foota is different from world cup foota.
