Also Its almost pointless. Success at youth level rarely translates to success at senior level. Of course there are exceptions like Faith Kipyegon. But the vast majority of the medalists at this event rarely succeed at senior level. For girls I especially think burnout is a factor.
Now Kenya wants to host the U20 event. Its like throwing money away. They would be better off investing that money to fund the training of field event and short distance athletes like South Africa is doing now. Thats why they are doing really well in the sprints now.
