Hi all,

it was good to have the ICC prosecutor around for orientation and at least to see where his next attention will be focused....however going by the manner in which his visitation process was handled leaves alot to be desired....nobody knows for sure what was discussed even the closest confidants of the principal pigs...the press is only speculating over the outcome...

now, this being Kenya that we know the visit probably benefited the principal pigs and the masterminds of the pev....the victims and the tax payers will probably loose more than they thought they had lost....

the behind the scenes manouvres and negotiations probably took the following direction:

HEpig: Good afternoon mr Ocampo. it is a pleasure indeed to have you here

PMpig: Good afternoon Ocampo sir. welcome to Kenya the land of hakuna matata.

Ocampo: Good afternoon gentlemen and thank you for your warm welcome. it is a pleasure indeed to be in Kenya and i hope i will carry all the sweet memories back home. now straight to business...

.

.

.

HEpig: Mr Ocampo we do appreciate your presence here in kenya and your desire to prosecute the masterminds and funders of pev is very commendable. however as you well know Kenyas problems are unique and will require Kenyan approach and solution. otherwise we might never see the light of the day.

Ocampo: i understand you your excellency, but since your very parliament rejected the tribunal proposals, that is why i am here so that we can agree on the sequence of events and the process leading to the prosecutions at Hague.

HEpig: what sequence Mr Ocampo are you talking about? you see sequence here does not exist in kenyas dictionary and wherever it was introduced it left a trail of destruction in its wake...we should therefore concentrate on the consequence of your visit to the Kenyas political set-up and which side of divide we all in this room should fall.

Ocampo: ....which side of divide we all in this room should fall...could your excellency elaborate on this as i am completely lost.

PMpig: Mr Ocampo his excellency is trying to tell you is that we all should reach a general concensus which is acceptable to all. mr ocampo 'ngiri'...sorry the warthog would rather die under a fig tree so that its hoglets could live.

HEpig: yes a hyena never eats its own young ones no matter the level of starvation

Ocampo: ....i am totally confused gentlemen. could you please speak english.

.

.

.

HEpig: we all respect your position in the ICC but as you know by the end of the day, what counts is whether you are the same as you left home for the office...

Ocampo: ....you are very right. and thanks for the complement.

PMpig: since now we understand each other could you please name your price.

Ocampo: ....what price?

HEpig: going back to Hague.....

Ocampo: ....but my mission has not....

HEpig: 5m US. and as you know we are very serious people who do not entertain jokes when it comes to business...ask superintendent Troon of Scotland yard.

PMpig: you will find the money in your account.

Ocampo: ....it has been a pleasure doing business with you people. i leave the day after tommorow.

proove me wrong!!!

@ fundaah,

the direction of kenyas politics is very predictable....the outcome of politicised issues could easily be foretold....i just hope and pray that it will not take 15 years for us to realise that we have been done in... if you know what i mean...anything is possible in Kenya judging by the past experiences.
