Nothing! biz as usual, as long as police act as an individual force, inequality of officers due to political connections, enforcement of useless mututho laws just for bribe seeking, vip protection by a huge number of officers, northern frontier as a punishment zone and promotion based on nothing but connections DON'T EXPECT ANYTHING,Just take care of your security

You see, even with the new security laws, a bus was attacked near Lamu the mandera style, the passengers were on their own and the shahada saved them. Just take care of your own security, terrorist respects NO Law!

Just take care of your own security, terrorist respects NO Law! What you're saying @Ngong, is very interesting if not perplexing. You're saying that people's lives were saved when they identified with the aggressor. And because terrorists respect no law, and citizens are on their own, then it follows that they should use what has been tried and tested. That is, identify with the aggressor(s). But the aggressor relies on 'martyrdom'. So the issue here is that there may be a lack of conviction of martyrdom rather than 'security presence'. But can Nkaissery provide Kenyans with such a conviction? Can the new laws do it? Can the President do it? Or America? The soft underbelly is still exposed.

That the bus was attacked and passengers are alive today because they managed to recite the koran. That was another Mandera bus attack in the making. Soon thousands of non muslims will be working at lamu for lappset and using these roads on a daily basis. This is in addition to the hundreds who already work there. And its just chilling that they could be targeted while traveling. Locals should help govt weed out these thugs from their midst.

Very sad ,we have been told that there are some gaps in the law and that was fixed last week,l wonder if the guys who attacked that bus know what is to picket. or even having a gun without a license. Anyway take care of your own security even if it means cramming the koran,BTW its better than reading the newspaper!

How infrequently when someone speaks of e.g. health and temperance and moderation has he been told 'YOLO' or 'We will all die someday'? Maybe not by you specifically ,,,,, but those are the sentiment. Kaeni ngumu. Hiyo kifo sasa imesonga karibu. Why would anyone 'chicken out' now?
