There is a rumor that all governors are now billionaires. I didn't believe previously, but when the governor of Garissa of all places is caught with 5b in the accounts, it has confirmed the rumor in my view.

How much is Garissa county govt budget ? What component is development budget ? Because its impossible to steal operational budget i.e. salaries e.t.c.

You'd be shocked to know that Garissa has been one of the worst performing counties in absorption of devpt budget. They have been spending less than 1B per year on development. The D*#kheads at NMG want us to believe the governor stole all that money.

Finally, how dumb would the governor be to transfer 5.2B from the county's account at CBK and then let it lie idly in his account at First Community ? Would CBK allow that ? Would Aden Duale have kept quiet considering the governor is an opposition guy.

BTW the money is more than the total shareholders funds at First community bank.

Why are you insulting guys who are just reporting what EACC told them?

Nmg has gotten to a level where anything goes. A simple e-mail or Twitter enquiry from CBK would have told them you can't do an ifmis transfer of such an amount to an individual.

For a headline, the editorial board has to okay the story.

5.2B would have been 40% of all deposits at FCB. The account would have been reported to the FRC over and over.

Have we forgotten it's CBK that first flagged the NYS transaction ?

Nation knew very well the story is fake. Plan is to destroy the governor politically. They know even if they publish an apology the damage will already be done. Worst form of impunity.

The name itself is ugly .
So the corrupt devised other names like 'facilitation fee' or rebate' to make it sound a bit more acceptable..
It doesn't change it's nature or purpose.

All opposition governors have stolen billions. Started with kidero. Baba must be tutoring them on grand theft like he stole during nusu mikate in maize and oil scandals.
