According to a letter sent to the company’s staff by the CEO, Ron Webb’s last day at work is today. He has apparently spent 18 years in Kenya working with different companies. He was formerly with Equity Bank and Paynet which operates the Pesapoint services. The departure of Webb is said to be because of family reasons as he has indicated to Safaricom management and board that he thinks that his family which is in UK really wants to be closer to him.
