WHAT???......I pity Tanzania and it's people. Five years like this will be long. It's like having a five year eclipse of the sun. Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.

This should be criminal. You can't deny a kid his or her basic right to education because of a personal issue. If this happens then this Magufuli dictator should be sued in court.
What the f*** is wrong with Africans? These are the kind of things that perpetuate poverty in Africa. What an idiot.

Am glad many are now seeing this dictator for what he is. "There are only two emotions in the market, hope & fear. The problem is you hope when you should fear & fear when you should hope: - Jesse Livermore .

What JPM said is not new in Tz. Zanzibar 1st President Abeid Karume passed a similar decree back in 1960s. Truth forever on the scaffold Wrong forever on the throne (James Russell Rowell)

Quote:A Tanzanian MP has been dragged to court for allegedly insulting President John Pombe Magufuli.
Halima Mdee, the Kawe MP and chairperson of women’s wing of the Chadema party, was charged in a Kisutu court on Monday and denied the charge.
State Attorney Nassoro Katuga told the court that on July 8, 2017, Ms Mdee uttered abusive remarks against President Magufuli during a news conference at the Chadema headquarters in Dar es Salaam.
Ms Mdee allegedly said the president talks too much without thinking about the consequences of his utterances.
Her statement could have disrupted peace, Mr Katuga told the court. http://www.nation.co.ke/...9530-m4nh0az/index.html

Eti you pity TZ A large proportion of Kenyans will take Magufuli any day before just about any Kenyan leader in history. Kenyan leaders have done things that are 10 times worse than anything Magufuli has done. You pity TZ yet Tanzania is surpassing Kenya in many economic aspects and their prospects for the future are much brighter than Kenya. When the dust settles, Magufuli's off the cuff roadside remarks will be disregarded and girls will be allowed to go back to school after they give birth. My guess is Pombe was just making those remarks to make girls think twice before getting pregnant. It was an off the cuff remark but now his pride is preventing him from admitting he made an error. But the damage Kenyan leaders have done and are doing is permanent. For example, when Ruto is done grabbing Langata primary school land in 2018, thats it. Nothing else will be done to remedy it and a colonial era school will be left with no playing grounds. And the rush is on for other primary schools that happen not to have title deeds. Their land is in peril come 2018. By the time these land grabbers are done, a significant proportion of primary schools in Nairobi will be landless, among other things. And you pity Tanzania Mathew 7:5

Only an idiot would admire leader denying a child education just because they became pregnant. That is abuse of power which is a form of corruption if you didnt know. Even that country that hosts you, where we know you take advantage of their welfare program, does not deny any child an education. If you cant grow your brain size keep it to sports. And you pity Tanzania Mathew 7:5 Huh. Tanzania has been 'surpassing' Kenya for years now. First with Mzee Nyerere, with his socialist model, while across the border, we had our own rapacious Mzee, eeeh ahem, 'buying' huge tracts of land and any valuable assets in sight. Unbelievable prescience he had, don't you think? Such unparalleled business acumen. Our erstwhile brothers the Tanzanians still trailed Kenya. Then came Moi and his cronies,...took billions for safekeeping. We zany and mercurial Kenyans, we whistled along and produced more. Tz had Ali Hassan Mwinyi, a man who at least appeared to have his head screwed on right ...Tz still didn't pass Kenya in its severe anemic state, abused and raped for many, long years. Along comes Mwai Kibaki, seriously competent (but that is my opinion), but his minions plundered with reckless abandon (Anglo Leasing, among others)..Kenya starts stirring to life, meanwhile Tz had Mkapa and Kikwete. Tz still trailing. And now have the duo, grand theft continues apace, while Tz has this unhinged fellow who rules by fiat. I would still bet on Kenya. We are a hardscrapple people and survive these bastards and their continuous evil looting, come out ahead of nations with less malevolent leaders and more natural resources. Wealth is generated by people,...and perhaps that is where the trick lies as regards Tz surpassing Kenya. But we shall wait and see.

Wealth is generated by people,...and perhaps that is where the trick lies as regards Tz surpassing Kenya. But we shall wait and see. ....Very well said. A guy i know got a contract with Kagera Sugar to transport cane from the fields to the factory. He had all the right machinery but he made a mistake by employing local drivers. Tanzanians want it easy and so they opt for a month or bi-weekly pay hinged on nothing but reporting. In Kenya, most cane trailer drivers are paid per ton delivered with as long as 16 hours a day work. I actually witnessed this. The Tz drivers would stop at just about every shopping centre along the way for niceties and a cup of tea. Some day, a driver would deliver nothing as he would park the tractor where his shift ends. The contractor was not allowed to bring drivers from Kenya and so he eventually gave up. I say this in all honesty, even if Kenya went to sleep for 10 years, our neighbours to the South would still have some catch up to do. They have a horrible working culture ( Interestingly, it's more like a regional thing except for Ethiopians and Rwandese) Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.

As I said above, girls who become pregnant in TZ will eventually be allowed to go back to school when this thing blows over. Roadside remarks usually do not become a permanent policy. But the damage Kenyan politicians are doing to the country is permanent.

You've never even set foot in there what you know about TZ and bulldozer is just what you read here on wazua. Dah! Quote:A law passed in 2002 allows for the expulsion of pregnant schoolgirls. The law says the girls can be expelled and excluded from school for "offences against morality" and "wedlock". "There are only two emotions in the market, hope & fear.
